Education is the foundation,and teachers are the base of education plan.A high-quality and high-level teacher team is an important guarantee for advancing the dual first-class construction and achieving the connotative development of higher education.In recent years,with the popularization of higher education,young teachers as the main force in the faculty of colleges and universities,their professional development level has increasingly become a key factor affecting the quality of talent training in colleges and universities and the overall quality of higher education.However,at present,the problems existing in the educational concepts and practices of young teachers in universities and colleges,such as teaching,academic research,teacher ethics and normal education,restrict the professional development of teachers.As a major province of higher education,Henan province has a large number of young teachers in universities and colleges,with the goal of promoting the professional development of young teachers,it is of great practical significance to study their professional development.This paper designs a questionnaire based on systematically sorting out the research progress related to teacher professional development,and selects 10 colleges and universities of different types and levels to conduct a questionnaire survey on their young teachers,at the same time,we conducted representative interviews with some young teachers on professional development issues.Finally,use spss25.0 software to process the questionnaire data,combined with the interview data to comprehensively analyze the actual situation of professional development of young teachers,further explore the problems and causes of young teachers’ professional development,and put forward corresponding countermeasures and suggestions.Through the research of this paper,the following understandings and conclusions are drawn:(1)The professional development of young teachers is highly positively correlated with their professional satisfaction,and moderately positively correlated with social status and external support(government authorities,schools,industry companies,etc.).(2)An analysis of the differences in demographic and organizational characteristics of the professional development of young teachers shows that there are significant differences in the professional development of young teacher groups with different titles and subject categories.The professional development of lecturers,teaching assistants and young teachers of undetermined ranks did not change significantly with the change of job titles.The professional development of young teachers has improved significantly during the rise of the titles of lecturers to associate professors and professors;young teachers in science and engineering have the best professional development,followed by humanities and social sciences,and the professional development of young teachers in medicine,agronomy and other disciplines is relatively weak.(3)The problems in the professional development of young teachers are mainly manifested in: young teachers lack a reasonable career plan and weak professional development awareness;young teachers’ professional knowledge and quality structure are unreasonable,and they place too much emphasis on scientific research and teaching,and insufficient attention to innovation and entrepreneurship,social service ability and professional ethics;Teachers lack practical activities and abilities;The professional development concepts of "attaching importance to academic qualifications,not to abilities","attaching importance to application,not to cultivation","attaching importance to talent and learning,not to teacher ethics" and "only thesis" of young teachers have not effectively aligned with national strategies and social needs,which is contrary to the requirements of paying attention to teacher ethics and teacher style construction in the new era.(4)In view of the current situation and existing problems of the professional development of young teachers in universities and colleges in Henan province,this paper based on the selfrenewal development theory,human resource management theory,career development theory and field theory research perspectives,combined with the measures taken by H university to promote the professional development of young teachers,plan as a whole to consider the development of higher education of the college teachers’ professional development put forward new requirements,from the individual teacher,school-based,the government and the social four aspects put forward the corresponding suggestions.
