Construction And Empirical Study Of Evaluation Index System For Chinese Academic Works Of Humanities And Social Sciences

Academic works,including monographs,compilations,translations,reference books,collation of ancient books,etc.,are important carriers of academic exchanges and knowledge dissemination,as well as one of the manifestations of academic achievements.The evaluation of works is to use certain methods to analyze the internal quality,development characteristics and use rules of works,so as to reveal the internal objective laws of works and documents,and better realize their academic value and social utility.Compared with the mature evaluation system for journals and papers at home and abroad,the study on the evaluation of academic works is rather poor,but in recent years,it has been widely paid attention to by the international academia.In the past,limited by the lack of database and technical conditions,there were few evaluations on humanities and social science works,and the methods adopted by researchers were generally book review analysis,bibliographic analysis or citation analysis.With the development of technology and the improvement of database,it is possible to evaluate works with massive data from different sources.This study attempts to select quantitative indicators from five aspects: external resources,citation,fund and award,book review,and book utilization,to construct an evaluation system of Chinese humanities and social sciences works,and to conduct empirical analysis and test on the evaluation system.In this paper,combining with the actual data application characteristics,integrating the traditional paper book,e-book,network book rating,etc.,to establish a rich and comprehensive evaluation system,from multiple dimensions and disciplines to evaluate works.The method of book review analysis,citation analysis,expert survey,analytic hierarchy process and entropy weight method was adopted to carry out the research.The index system was constructed by using the weighted comprehensive evaluation method of 28 indexes,and the comprehensive quantitative value of humanities and social sciences works was obtained by adding the weighted index values.This research in humanities and social science in colleges and universities award the third until the seventh paper award of 27 of the 2175 book for the award-winning works characteristics analysis of sample data,to apply for the eighth session of colleges and universities award book paper award in humanities and social science,philosophy,sociology,management science,206,88,324 to represent the humanities,social sciences,comprehensive discipline as the empirical analysis of the sample data,From the national digital library,reading show search,dangdang academic books,douban,baidu,CNKI Chinese citation database,CSSCI Chinese social science citation index database,imagining star electronic library,China library of philosophy and social science achievements after collecting corresponding index data and standardization of processing,import value evaluation index system of operation.Then we use the winning works of the 8th College Humanities and Social Sciences Award published by the Ministry of Education to test the evaluation results,and finally test the effectiveness of the evaluation system.This evaluation system has the advantages of quantification,comprehensive index and strong times.The shortcoming lies in that although this paper makes use of the book review information,it does not dig the content of the book review in depth,leaving it for follow-up research efforts.
