Research On The Interaction Mechanism Of Game Social Interaction And Offline Interpersonal Relationship

The development of the Internet provides an open,equal,and flat network space,which makes it possible for members to contact freely.The interpersonal communication scope of young people extends from acquaintances to strangers.This study focuses on the interaction mechanism between game socialization and offline interpersonal relationships.Through participatory observation and depth interview method,it explores how offline interpersonal relationships affect game socialization,and how game socialization expands to offline interpersonal relationship networks.So as to draw a map of the development of contemporary youth social network.It is found that the online game space creates a development context for game socialization.With highly simulated game scenes and game settings,player groups can form co-experiences,and the social distance within the game is shortened.Under the attraction of interest,with teamwork,social interaction system and advanced network technology as the intermediary,acquaintances,light acquaintances,and strangers can meet and share social space in the online game space.From a diachronic perspective,on the one hand,offline interpersonal relationships have an important impact on the establishment and development of game social interaction.Offline acquaintances,subject to account association and peer pressure,can migrate online and weave the first layer of game social network.The role of weak ties promotes the expansion of the network of light acquaintances,which shows the coexistence of flattening and centrality.The random matching mechanism and the player’s active selection based on social needs promote the encounter between strangers,and the socialization between strangers develops.Thus,it forms a diversified and threedimensional graph of social relations of online games.On the other hand,the social development of games to a certain extent will inevitably have an impact on offline interpersonal relationships.From face-to-face offline communication to back-to-back network communication,the change of social situation brings about the change of social rules,forming different development paths of acquaintance relationship.The application of diversified social methods promotes the relationship between light acquaintances to break through the limitations of the online game space and extend offline;the establishment of a trust mechanism allows strangers to establish good interactions and enrich the offline network of interpersonal relationships.In general,online game social interaction and offline interpersonal communication are interrelated,and different relationship development paths are intertwined,which builds a multi-dimensional and multi-structured interpersonal network of online and offline interaction between youth groups.It shows the infinite possibilities of social interaction among the younger generation under the influence of network.
