| In the era of knowledge economy,competition between countries is actually a competition for high-quality human resources and technological innovation capabilities.Higher education directly assumes the functions of high-level talent training and technological innovation.Therefore,it can be said that the competitiveness of higher education is an important cornerstone of national competitiveness.In the context of economic globalization,regions have also become important strategic entities for countries to participate in global competitiveness.The overall improvement of regional higher education competitiveness has increasingly become an important part of national competitiveness.Therefore,the research on the competitiveness of regional higher education can be said to be an important realistic topic related to the development of higher education in our country.From the existing research point of view,the research on the competitiveness of regional higher education mainly focuses on empirical research.Through constructing the evaluation index system of higher education competitiveness,it compares and evaluates the level of higher education competitiveness of countries,regions and cities.To the general situation of the development of higher education in different regions of our country,there are relatively few researches on the improvement of regional higher education competitiveness.Therefore,this article focuses on the factors that influence the competitiveness of regional higher education.By analyzing the factors that influence the competitiveness of higher education in different sample regions,this article attempts to put forward appropriate suggestions for improving the competitiveness of regional higher education in the future.Based on the existing research results,this paper uses the configuration theory as a research perspective,and builds a "diamond model" of the factors affecting the competitiveness of regional higher education based on the theory of national competitive advantage.This study selects 22 provinces,5 autonomous regions,and 4municipalities in the east,middle,and west of my country as the research objects,and applies qualitative comparative analysis methods to study how different combinations of factors in the sample area affect and drive the improvement of regional higher education competitiveness.And combined with the analysis of the existing higher education policy texts in the typical sample areas,on this basis,it puts forward possible suggestions that are conducive to the improvement of regional higher education competitiveness in the future.The research results show that,first of all,the competitiveness of higher education in different regions will be affected by different factors.Secondly,there are differences in the sample regional competitiveness improvement paths corresponding to the forward analysis and the reverse analysis of regional higher education.Thirdly,the content of policy planning for higher education construction in the typical sample area has the characteristics of homogeneity and is different from the promotion path.Based on this,this research integrates the above three aspects and puts forward appropriate suggestions for future regional higher education promotion. |
