A Study On The Career Maturity Of Students Of Secondary And Higher Vocational Education In Guangzhou

At present,in response to the call of the state,China’s higher vocational colleges are expanding enrollment on a large scale.After higher vocational enrollment expansion,on the one hand,the source of students in higher vocational colleges will be more diversified,and the connection channel between middle and higher vocational colleges will be greatly expanded;On the other hand,the number of graduates is bound to increase,and the employment situation of vocational school graduates will be more and more severe.As an important way to connect middle and higher vocational schools,the "three-two subsection" refers to the selection of corresponding majors in secondary vocational schools and higher vocational colleges,and the development of an integrated talent training plan for the secondary vocational period(three years)and the higher vocational period(two years).Under the severe employment background,it is necessary to improve the employment competitiveness of the students who want to find a foothold in the huge employment group.Vocational maturity is a form of representation of employment competitiveness,so it is very important to improve the vocational maturity level of students in "tertiary level".This study in guangzhou "at higher vocational colleges in the section" students as the research object,using the career maturity inventory and career decision-making self-efficacy scale,as a research tool,"at higher vocational colleges in the section" of four primary schools in guangzhou pilot questionnaire survey was conducted among705 students of the school,and choose the 12 students in-depth interviews,In this way,the present situation and existing problems of vocational maturity of students in the "junior and senior vocational level" are studied.According to the results of the questionnaire survey and interview,we find that :(1)the overall level of vocational maturity of the students in the junior and senior vocational level is low;(2)There are significant differences in the vocational maturity of the students in the period of study,whether they like the major they learn,whether they have participated in skill competitions,whether they have practical experience,whether they have received vocational guidance or skill training,and whether they offer courses related to career planning.(3)There is a significant positive correlation between career decision-making self-efficacy and career maturity among students of "junior and senior vocational college",and career decision-making self-efficacy can positively predict career maturity;(4)the school does not pay enough attention to the cultivation of vocational maturity of students in the "tertiary level";(5)The family’s employment guidance for the students of "junior and senior vocational college" is not in place;(6)The subjective initiative of the students in the vocational exploration process is not strong.According to the results of theoretical research and empirical investigation,combined with super career development stages theory and bruner’s theory of the spiral structure of some core idea,from individual inner environment,school environment,family environment and social environment,put forward the corresponding countermeasures:(1)the individual subjective initiative into full play,and push forward the career maturity development;(2)normalize the career guidance work and attach great importance to the development of career maturity;(3)To create a harmonious family education environment and correctly guide the development of vocational maturity;(4)Create a good social employment environment and create a good career development prospect.
