Preschool education stage is the key period of children’s development,which affects the formation of the important qualities of individual life.With the rapid development of education in China,the government is paying more and more attention to preschool education.While preschool education is developing rapidly,it is also facing new opportunities and challenges.However,there are many problems in preschool education in China,such as the low starting point,low salary,high turnover rate and large fluidity of new teachers engaged in preschool education.As the main reserve force of preschool teachers,the students majoring in preschool education in higher vocational colleges play an extremely important and irreplaceable role.The development of preschool education is inseparable from a team of preschool education with high professional identity.The level of professional identity of students majoring in preschool education in higher vocational colleges not only affects their learning effect and career preparation in school,but also has an important impact on the quality of education and teaching during their future employment in preschool education.In this paper,students majoring in preschool education in Hainan province were taken as samples to investigate and understand the status quo of their professional identity,analyze the existing problems and causes of professional identity,and put forward relevant suggestions to improve professional identity.The main findings of this paper include: the overall situation of vocational identity of preschool education major students in Hainan province is good,and professional identity is greatly affected by professional values.Based on the questionnaire survey and interview,this paper analyzes the problems existing in vocational identity of students majoring in preschool education,and puts forward the following suggestions:strengthen vocational education,promote vocational cognition;Improve professional ability,enhance the sense of self-efficacy;Optimize the training program to cultivate professional emotion;Pay attention to thought guidance,establish the correct professional values;Promote social identity and enhance social support.
