The problem of higher education has always been a strategic problem that affects social development and progress.Since the founding of the People’s Republic of China,the construction of higher education has undergone many important reforms,especially after the reform and opening-up.In the early1990 s,the strategy of rejuvenating the country through science and education was launched in an all-round way,and great achievements were made after more than 20 years of development.However,the rapid expansion of the scale of higher education has also brought some problems,so the study of the development of China’s higher education is of great practical significance.Based on the previous research and objective research needs,this paper selected and selected the scale of higher education,education input,education output under three dimensions of multiple indicators.This paper analyzes the current situation of the development of China’s higher education and looks for the possible problems.Then combine each index,construct the scientific evaluation system,use the weighted modulus and the membership function to carry on the dimensionless processing,then calculate the reasonable entropy weight of each index,get the EDU comprehensive evaluation model.By analyzing the time and space dimension of the results,it is found that there is a big gap in the development level of higher education in all provinces of China.Among them,the East region has the fastest growth rate,the northeast region has a small fluctuation,and the west region has a big gap with other regions because of the poor foundation.In terms of space,there is a big gap in the development level of higher education among the provinces in China.All indexes in the eastern coastal areas are significantly higher than those in the inland areas.There was significant spatial autocorrelation among provinces,and the development of some provinces inhibited the surrounding areas to some extent.The cause of the difference is mainly influenced by industrial structure,economic development level,policy support and so on.In view of the above problems,this paper gives the following suggestions: to give priority to the construction of a number of advantageous disciplines,to develop in an all-round way;We should give more support to the backward areas in terms of resources and policies,promote the coordinated development of regions,increase the frequency of exchange of talents,and upgrade the level of teachers in the backward areas.
