Danish folk high school is a kind of informal adult schools initiated by Denmark,which enjoys high reputation in the world.The purpose of this study is to make an in-depth analysis of the history of the emergence,development and transformation of it,and to explore the interactive relationship between educational institutions and social development.Based on this,the author will put forward some enlightenment and significance for the development of adult education in China.Based on the main question of this study,"What development process has Danish folk high school experienced?" This paper puts the development of Danish folk high school under the specific social and historical background,analyzes its realistic basis and ideological basis,and combs the various stages of its emergence,development and change.Due to the different requirements and problems of the times,the folk high school have also made corresponding responses and changes.This paper sort out the characteristics of the development stages of folk high schools in different times,as well as the changes they have made and their impact on society.It is found that Denmark before the 19 th century laid a tradition and foundation for the emergence of folk high schools;the emergence of folk high schools in the 19 th century with the meaning of seeking social change after defeat;from the beginning of the 20 th century to the 1940 s,due to the promotion of the industrial revolution,folk high schools began to appear in cities;after World War II,the folk high schools became an important force to quell Nazism and promote social democracy;after1970s,the folk high schools are more international and emphasis lifelong learning;in the 21 st century,under the influence of globalization,folk high schools were becoming more and more diversified,their traditions also faced new challenges.Based on the analysis of the historical stages and characteristics of the development of Danish folk high schools,this paper further summarizes the historical experience in the aspects of educational purpose,philosophy,values,methods,school management and policy guarantee.At the same time,on the basis of in-depth study of Danish context and tradition,this paper will also try to explain the rich connotation of the concept of "folke",in order to deepen the understanding of it. |
