“Inclusive education support for children with ASD in kindergarten” means a series of support and services provided by regular kindergartens to meet the needs of children with ASD.Kindergartens help children with ASD to well adapt to their study and life in inclusion as well as benefit from inclusion through serving students,supporting teachers and guiding parents.With the promotion of China’s policies,inclusive education of preschool has developed rapidly in recent years,and more and more children with ASD learn in regular kindergartens.The purpose of this research is to know the status of inclusive education support for children with ASD in kindergartens,as well as the difficulties and needs of kindergartens in practicing inclusive education for children with ASD,so as to provide suggestions for improving the inclusive education support for children with ASD in kindergartens.This research used qualitative and quantitative research methods.40 regular kindergartens that practice inclusive education for children with ASD in S City participated in the questionnaire surveys.8 teachers from those kindergartens participated in the interview research.This research attempted to know inclusive education support for children with ASD in kindergartens from five dimensions of administrative support,learning support,teaching support,environmental support and communication and cooperation.The conclusions are as follows:(1)The self-evaluation results of regular kindergartens show that the overall support level of inclusive education for children with ASD in kindergartens is high,but there is unbalanced in various dimensions;The highest level of inclusive support is communication and cooperation,followed by environmental support,teaching support,administrative support,learning support;(2)Among the various support services of kindergarten inclusive education,the support level of using multiple evaluations is the lowest;(3)Regular kindergartens with professional resources have a high level of inclusive education support for children with ASD;(4)Regular kindergartens to carry out inclusive education support for children with ASD are mainly faced with the difficulties of insufficient personnel and inadequate professional competence of teachers,and have a high demand for professional guidance and staffing.Based on the research conclusions,the following suggestions are proposed:(1)Improve the learning support level of inclusive education,so as to perfect the inclusive education support services;(2)Set up the concept of diversity education and use multiple evaluations;(3)Provide well-found professional resources to improve the quality of individualized education support;(4)Provide professional guidance to improve teachers’ professional quality of inclusive education. |
