With the rapid development of economic globalization and science and technology,international competition becomes more and more fierce.China needs to lead the industrial transformation and upgrading through technological innovation to promote economic growth and improve China’s international competitiveness.Industrial transformation and upgrading is a beneficial way to promote economic development.Although the economy of Liaoning Province is developing well,there are still some problems in the process of industrial transformation and upgrading.Liaoning Province is also facing the important task of transformation and upgrading.In the process of industrial transformation and upgrading,Liaoning Province increasingly needs a large number of compound talents with high level,high skills and strong innovation ability,which undoubtedly puts forward higher requirements for higher education as a talent supply side.Only when the supply and demand balance,can it be more conducive to the overall development of Liaoning Province.Therefore,according to the needs of industrial transformation and upgrading in Liaoning Province,it is necessary to optimize the discipline structure of higher education.Based on this,this paper chooses the background of industrial transformation and upgrading to explore the optimization of the subject structure of higher education in Liaoning Province.By using the methods of policy text analysis,Pearson correlation analysis and regression analysis,this paper studies the disciplinary structure of higher education and the development status of industrial transformation and upgrading in Liaoning Province,deeply analyzes the gap between the disciplinary structure of higher education and the goal of industrial transformation and upgrading,and points out the direction for the optimization of disciplinary structure of higher education in Liaoning Province.This study first elaborates the logical relationship between the optimization of higher education discipline structure and industrial transformation and upgrading,and holds that the goal of industrial transformation and upgrading affects the direction of the optimization of higher education discipline structure;the optimization of higher education discipline structure promotes the industrial transformation and upgrading;higher education discipline structure and industrial transformation and upgrading present the characteristics of dynamic adaptation and mutual guidance.At the same time,a clear analysis of the relationship between the two is the basis of this study.Secondly,by consulting the statistical yearbook of Liaoning Province,this paper analyzes the disciplinary structure and industrial development status of higher education in Liaoning Province over the years,and points out the direction for the optimization of disciplinary structure of higher education below.At the same time,it expounds the goal of industrial transformation and upgrading in Liaoning Province in the future and the requirements for the optimization of discipline structure,so as to lay the foundation for the following research on the optimization strategy of discipline structure.Thirdly,through consulting the websites of colleges and universities to understand the current situation of the development of disciplines and combining with the development objectives and requirements of industrial transformation and upgrading in Liaoning Province,the author explores the following problems in the current discipline structure of higher education and the industrial transformation and upgrading development: for example,the “unbalanced” discipline structure hinders the process of industrial transformation and upgrading;the convergence of disciplines and specialties is serious,and it is difficult to adapt to the pace of industrial transformation and upgrading;the development of emerging and interdisciplinary disciplines is slow,and they can not meet the development needs of key industries perfectly;the setting of disciplines and specialties can not fully meet the needs of the industry,and there is a large gap of skilled talents.Finally,combined with the problems of the discipline structure of higher education in Liaoning Province,the paper puts forward the principles and Strategies of optimizing the discipline structure,in order to promote the continuous development of higher education and economy in Liaoning Province.
