This study uses a questionnaire survey to explore the influence of parenting styles on high school students’ altruistic behavior and the chain mediating role of self-esteem and empathy.A total of 650 students from three high schools in Heilongjiang and Jiangsu provinces were selected as subjects,and the "Parenting Style Scale","Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale Chinese Version","Chinese Version Interpersonal Response Index Scale",and "Altruistic Behavior Self-Report Questionnaire" were used as tools.After testing,draw the following conclusions:1.There are significant differences between the genders of senior high school students in parenting style.Girls have experienced more trust-encouraging and emotional warming parenting,boys have experienced more authoritarian,neglecting and doting parenting There are significant differences between the high school students whose parents are divorced and the students whose parents are not divorced.High school students whose parents are not divorced have experienced more emotional warming parenting and less neglecting parenting;there are significant differences in the academic achievement in parenting styles,and the eugenics have experienced more emotional and warm parenting,and students with learning difficulties have experienced more neglecting parenting.2.There are significant differences in the level of self-esteem in academic achievement,and the level of self-esteem decreases in order from eugenics to students with learning difficulties.3.There are significant differences in empathy ability between genders,and girls have stronger empathy ability;there are significant differences in empathy ability in single-child or not,and non-only high school students have stronger empathy ability;There are significant differences between the class leaders and non-leaders,and the class cadres have stronger empathy ability.4.There are significant differences in altruistic behavior between the class leaders and non-leaders,and there are more altruistic behaviors among class leaders.5.Correlation analysis shows that both trust-encouraging and emotional-warming parenting styles are significantly positively correlated with self-esteem,empathy,and altruistic behavior;both doting and neglect parenting styles are significantly negatively correlated with self-esteem and altruistic behavior;authoritarian There is a significant negative correlation between parenting style and self-esteem;self-esteem is significantly positively correlated with empathy and altruistic behavior;empathy is significantly positively correlated with altruistic behavior.6.The structural equation shows that: trust-encouraging,emotional-warming,doting and neglect parenting styles influence the altruistic behavior of high school students through three paths: the first path is the sole mediating role of self-esteem;The second is the sole mediating role of empathy;The last the chain mediation of self-esteem and empathy.
