Integrating Management Into Service:A Study On The Role Practice Of Community Correction Social Workers

In recent years,China’s community correction work has developed rapidly,and has achieved initial results in the establishment of rules and regulations.However,there is a tension between the universal applicability of policies and regulations and the complexity of practical work,which makes social workers of community correction confused in the process of work.Community correction social workers play the dual roles of managers and service providers in practice.The key is to balance the roles of management and service.If we blindly emphasize management,it will lead to excessive supervision and lack of assistance.If we pay too much attention to service,it will lead to excessive welfare and insufficient correction.However,the inherent differences between management and service,coupled with the role requirements of different subjects,It hinders the practice of the role of community correction social workers,which leads to the imbalance of the role of community correction social workers.This study uses qualitative research method to interview 15 community correction social workers in Shanghai x social workers.Through understanding the experience and strategy of community correction social workers in practice in the work of managers and service roles,this paper analyzes the imbalance performance and causes in different role playing process,and finally discusses the angle of community correction social workers managers The integration mechanism of color and service provider role is expected to provide guidance for the balanced management and service of community correction social workers.It is found that social workers of community correction have different degrees of role imbalance,which is manifested in the tight integration of management role and service role.For social workers of community correction,the main task is to provide services,promote the good change of community correction objects,and maintain social stability.The purpose of providing services can also be said to achieve the effect of management.Therefore,to alleviate the Role Imbalance of community correction social workers,we should adhere to the concept of integrating management into service.Starting from the causes of role imbalance,such as imperfect policies and regulations,immature resource system,difficult balance of multi management,difficult implementation of responsibility division and differences between management concept and service concept,we should improve the top-level design and promote the construction of resource system,Clear role positioning,optimize the composition of the talent team to seek solutions.
