Research On Subjective Well-eing Of Rural Elderly Based On Structural Equation Model

In recent years,China is under the background of implementing the strategy of Rural Revitalization and overcoming poverty.Compared with cities and towns,rural medical resources and entertainment resources are relatively scarce.Under the background of the increasingly serious aging of the population,the problems faced by the elderly in rural areas are more and more serious.The subjective well-being of the rural elderly is not only the yardstick to measure the happiness index of Chinese rural residents,but also an important part of Rural Revitalization and the implementation of healthy China strategy.However,a large number of rural labor force outflow makes the rural elderly unable to get sufficient care from their children,and their loneliness is growing day by day,and their mental status is worrying.This study uses structural equation model to analyze the subjective well-being of the rural elderly.Firstly,a theoretical model of subjective well-being of the rural elderly is constructed according to the existing research and theory.Then,a confirmatory factor analysis is conducted on the model by using the survey data of China Comprehensive Social Survey(CGSS)in 2017.According to the output results,the inadequacies of the initial measurement model are judged,and the optimal measurement model is obtained by referring to the existing theories and various output indicators.Then,on the basis of the existing optimal measurement model,the causal path model is established,and the structural equation model about the subjective well-being of the rural elderly is formed after constant correction and adjustment.The effect of the influencing factors,the standardized regression coefficient and the influence degree between the factors are analyzed in detail.The study found that family harmony and their own situation have a higher impact on the subjective well-being of the rural elderly,while social activities have a weaker impact on the subjective well-being.The better the health status,the lower the frequency of depression,the lower the frequency of feeling unable to overcome difficulties,the higher the education level,the higher the frequency of socializing with neighbors,the higher the frequency of contacting with the closest children,the rural elderly have higher subjective well-being.In order to improve the subjective well-being of the rural elderly,prevent and improve the depression of the elderly,we can improve the basic endowment insurance system for urban and rural residents,carry out rural disease prevention education,strengthen the construction of the psychological counseling system of the rural elderly.
