Happiness is an old and mysterious word, is the most beautiful human emotions. In April,2004, the Former chairman of the national Hu jintao, first proposed to "focus on people’s happiness" as "one of the six concerns" in a speech at Yale university in the United States, this also caused the domestic scholar’s emphasis on well-being. In September,2006, the national bureau of statistics of China brought happiness index into statistical indicator system, as one of the evaluation index of the national development. Since then, "happiness index" was gradually emerging, and the work report in all over the world began use the index. These all indicate that happiness has increasingly become one of the concerns of the Chinese government.Over the past twenty years, China’s got a rapid economic growth, people’s material life has been greatly rich, so the happiness of residents shouldn’t be only include the material conditions, also it should evaluate the spirit level. With the development of "urbanization" process in our country, more and more people become urban residents, and the proportion is growing, there are more and more scholars pay close attention to their happiness. Their happiness has been investigated by many scholars from different angle, and the factors that affect urban residents’ happiness also become gradually perfect. Urban residents’ well-being can be defined as:city dwellers’life satisfaction and evaluation, which is the most representative index in the quality of life index. Nowadays, although there’re a lot of studies about well-being, most of them use assessment scale that has been made by other scholars directly and only chose a certain area of data, it is too simple about choosing data and model, and the results are still in the descriptive statistics and regression analysis level. So it’s helpful to put factors that influencing well-being into structural equation model and carry on a system analysis. The paper makes use of the data of Chinese Family Panel Studies (pliot study of 2010). It expounds the concept of residents’ well-being, related research progress and achievement firstly, and then getting the measurement variables of the factors of affecting residents’ well-being through the basic theory of residents’ well-being. The results show that the selected 21 variables from CFPS2010 adult questionnaire that influence residents’ well-being; Secondly, using SPSS 17.0 to filter data, and delete the cases which contain refuse to answer, don’t know and shall not applied. Finally, we get 1902 effective samples units. According to the data, on this basis of the relevant theories of the residents’happiness, the paper generalizes five latent variables, which are happiness, good health, work, social and life attitude. Then use AMOS 17.0 to construct and fit confirmatory factor model, and use the modified index to modify, ultimately we would get the measurement variables that affect residents happiness. Compared with the 21 observable variables we choose at the first, there are four observed variables are deleted or placed due to the small load coefficient or highly correlated with other variables. On the basis of theory and confirmatory factor analysis, this paper constructs the final structural equation model, and carries on the fitting. Fitting results show that among the factors, the total utility of the work is the largest, and then it’s the health and life attitude. Besides path analysis, the paper also do a multiple group analysis,it shows that different gender. educational background and age will affect the stability of the model in some paths, which illustrates the three adjustment variables of the model have a significant adjustment in this model. Through theoretical analysis and empirical analysis, the paper puts forward four suggestions: 1. Enhance interpersonal communication; 2. Improve the physical and mental health: 3. Pay attention to body health.4. Improve the working environment. In this paper, the innovations are:1. This paper adopts the combination of qualitative and quantitative research methods, uses structural equation model to measure the influencing factors of urban residents’ well-being. Firstly, uses confirmatory factor analysis model find out the factors influencing residents’ well-being, and then use the analysis of structural equation model to conduct a comprehensive analysis. Secondly, the paper introduces multiple group analysis of gender, age, and education, make the influence of the degree of happiness much further; 2. In this paper, the data is used by Chinese family Panel Studies (CFPS) 2010 data, the depth and breadth exits at the same time; 3. When explore the factors that affecting residents’ subjective well-being, this paper introduces some new factors that other scholars didn’t pay attention to, for example before explore social, besides the social in real life, this article also introduces the concept of Internet social networking, the indicators is the number of QQ friends.
