| Expectation is an individual’s subjective prediction of the future event to a certain degree of development.The earliest attention and research on expectation originated from teacher expectation,which is also known as the "Pigmarion effect" or "Rosenthal effect".The focus of existing research has been more on the impact of teacher expectations on student growth,and relatively neglecting the role of the family’s important environmental variable in the growth and development of adolescents.Therefore,less attention has been paid to parents’ educational expectations and students’ self-expectations The relationship between.This study selects the group of middle school students,and explores the basic situation and related relationships of middle school students ’parents’ educational expectations,student self-expectations,parental trait anxiety,and parental caring styles,with a view to providing some references for future research on educational expectations.Research purpose: To understand the current situation and characteristics of middle school students ’parents’ educational expectations,students ’self-expectations,parental trait anxiety,and parental caring styles through questionnaire collection and data analysis,and to explore countermeasures and suggestions to promote the harmonious development of family education,Establish a relationship model of parental education expectations,student self-expectations,parental trait anxiety,and parental caring styles,with a view to providing some reference for future theoretical research,so that the public is deeply aware of the impact of family education on the physical and mental health of middle school students.Research methods: Through a questionnaire survey of 483 first-year,second-year,first-year and second-year students and their parents,the "Parent Education Expectation Scale","Student Self-Expectation Scale","Trait Anxiety The questionnaire survey was conducted on the Scale and the Parental Rearing Patterns.Research results: After processing the collected research data and statistical analysis using SPSS23.0,the research results are as follows:(1)Parents’ education expectations of middle school students show significant differences in grade,family type,and situation of only children.Students’ self-expectations showed significant differences in grades.Parental trait anxiety showed significant differences in grade and family type.Parents’ caring styles showed significant differences in grades and only children.(2)There is a significant positive correlation between parental education expectation and middle school students’ self-expectation;parental education expectation has a significant negative correlation withparental trait anxiety;parental education expectation has a significant positive correlation with parental caring style;parental trait anxiety and parent caring style There was a significant negative correlation;parental caring styles had a significant positive correlation with student self-expectation;parental trait anxiety had a significant negative correlation with student self-expectation.(3)Parental caring styles play a mediating role in the impact of parental education expectations on the self-expectations of middle school students.(4)Parental trait anxiety and parental caring style play a chain-mediating role in the impact of parental education expectations on middle school students’ self-expectations.Research conclusions: Parents’ educational expectations can positively predict the self-expectations of middle school students,and their educational expectations for their children can also be felt through caring parenting behaviors.Parental trait anxiety,as a long-term and stable personality trait,will not only have a serious negative impact on daily life,but also encourage parents to restrain their anxiety to a great extent in the process of parent-child interaction,and actively adopt caring parenting methods and The interaction of children promotes the self-expectation of middle school students in a more positive direction. |
