Educator Suhomlinsky once said,"There is no real education without self-education." The central task of modern education is to establish a lifelong education system that can give full play to human subjectivity and realize the integration of education and self-education.From the perspective of pedagogy,the effect of all education ultimately depends on whether students can give full play to their subjective initiative,and whether students can internalize the external education requirements,which in turn depends on students’ self-education.Taking 855 higher vocational students in Tianjin as the research object,807 valid questionnaires were collected by using the questionnaire method.The self-education status quo of higher vocational students was investigated from six dimensions: self-education consciousness,self-education goal,self-education content,self-education method,self-education environment and self-education effect.Through the interview of 10 higher vocational students,this paper understands and analyzes the influencing factors of self-education of higher vocational students.The results show that the current higher vocational students have a strong sense of self-education,but a weak ability of self-practice;The goal of self-education is vague,and the individual direction is not clear.The content of self-education is simple and tends to be utilitarian.The methods of self-education are varied,but the actual grasp is relatively lacking.The environment of self-education is complex and easily affected by bad environment.Self-education is carried out generally,the educational effect is lower than the expected problem.Through analysis,it is concluded that the cause of the problem of higher vocational students self education mainly includes the following aspects: individual conceptions of education consciousness,way lack of democratic family,attention to students’ subjectivity is not,and the mass consciousness caused by bad guide students,although there is a strong sense of self education,but the self practice force weaker problem;The contradiction between the independence of consciousness and the dependence of behavior,the disharmonious family relationship,the lack of teachers’ attention to the students’ subjectivity,the lack of effective guidance to the growth of students and the impact of social multiculturalism lead to the phenomenon that the self-education goal of vocational students is not clear.The utilitarian concept of higher vocational students’ self-education,the unscientific concept of parents’ family education and the traditional educational concept of schools are the reasons for the excessively utilitarian content of higher vocational students’ self-education.The relative insufficiency of campus cultural resources makes higher vocational students’ self-education methods poorly mastered;Due to the poor quality of parents,the lack of collective environment in schools and the challenges brought by the network environment,higher vocational students are affected by many factors in the self-education environment,which makes the self-education effect of higher vocational students poor.Based on the investigation results and the analysis of the reasons,the research believes that individuals should play the active role of the subject and implement self-education behavior;Democratic parenting in the family;The school respects the principal position of students;The government should adhere to the correct public opinion guidance to make higher vocational students actively engage in self-education behavior.Higher vocational students correctly grasp their own expectations,establish self-education goals;Families create harmonious relationships;Teachers actively guide students to grow,assist in setting development goals,and help vocational students to increase the drive of self-education.Students enrich the content of self-education and master the methods of self-education;Parents establish scientific educational concept;The school enriches the forms of activities,promotes the all-round development of students,and enables higher vocational students to choose suitable self-education content and master effective self-education methods.Parents to improve their own quality;The school provides a collective education environment to increase student participation;Strengthen the influence of mass media,social overall consideration,promote higher vocational students in different self-education environment to have a better growth.
