Since the beginning of the 21 st century,the rapid development of economy and society has brought great challenges to people’s life adaptation,including career adaptation.At the same time,economic crisis,epidemic outbreak and other unexpected events in economic and social development have affected the employment demand of all walks of life to varying degrees.In recent years,with the expansion and popularization of higher education,the number of college graduates continues to increase.The "employment difficulty" of college graduates is not only the "structural" contradiction between supply and demand,but also the problem of career adaptation.The employment choice of college students after graduation has changed,and the proportion of "slow employment" and "quick resignation" is increasing.In order to cope with the challenges brought by career changes,college students are required to make career preparation as soon as possible.How to help college students prepare for their careers is not only an important measure to solve the current "difficult employment" situation,but also the basic goal of modern career counseling.To help college students prepare for their careers positively,enable them to have a clear understanding of their own future,perceive the resources and potential obstacles for career development,understand the employment situation and their own strengths and weaknesses,and then develop career adaptability.The research introduces future work self,career resources,perceived career barrier and career adaptability to understand individual career development,and discusses the relationship between the four.Through literature review,this study explains and sorts out the conceptual connotation and related researches of the four research variables,and proposes research hypothesis and constructs structural equation model through "Career Construction Theory ".The study conducted a questionnaire survey on college students and finally collected 434 valid questionnaires.Then,statistical software such as SPSS23.0 and MPLUS7.0 were used to carry out descriptive statistics and structural equation model test to verify theoretical hypotheses.Based on the test and analysis of empirical data,this study draws the following conclusions:(1)College students’ career adaptability is above the average level.Career focus is due to the fact that their children are significantly higher than male students,and freshmen and sophomores are significantly higher than senior students.The college students’ salience of future work self is above the average level,and no significant difference is found between the genders,majors and grades of college students.General college students career resources at average levels,career resources with professional skill factor on male college students scored significantly higher than girls,career development opportunities to score factors of female college students is significantly higher than boys,learning factor score significantly higher than the other,science technology job challenge factor freshman and sophomore students scored significantly higher on junior and senior year.On the whole,college students’ perceived career barrier is above the average level.In terms of parental behavior obstacle perception and school education deficiency factors,male college students score significantly higher than female students,and in terms of school education deficiency factors,senior students score significantly higher than freshman and sophomore students.(2)There is a significant positive correlation between college students’ future work self and career adaptability,and the future work self has a positive impact on career adaptability.The perceived career barrier was significantly negatively correlated with future work self,career adaptability and career resources,and the remaining three variables were significantly positively correlated with each other.(3)Through path analysis,it is concluded that career resources and perceived career barrier play a parallel mediating role between college students’ future work self and career adaptability.And there are significant differences between the two specific mediation paths future work self-career resources-career adaptability and future work self-perceived career barrier-career adaptability;It is concluded that the combined effect of career resources and perceived career barrier plays a chain mediating role between college students’ future work self and career adaptability.The hypothesis is valid and the chain mediated effect is better.
