School adjustment refers to the state in which students can perform well in school, interpersonal communication, etc.in a school environment, and can happily participate in various activities. The academically heavy high school stage is a critical period for students ’life development, and good school adjustment is particularly important. Therefore,it is of great significance to discuss the school adjustment of high school students to promote their academic achievements and maintain physical and mental health.A large number of studies in the past have discussed the impact of parental divorce on students’ school adjustment, but have reached inconsistent conclusions: some studies have found that divorce will have a permanent and serious impact on students, and some studies believe that divorce will have a short-term and eradicable effect on students. Some studies suggest that divorce will not only affect students,it may even promote student development. We believe that the reason for the divergence in research is that researchers have overlooked many individual or family adjustment factors that may exist. For example, the individual level includes divorced age sensitivity, psychological resilience, the relationship between the individual and the supporter(non-support),and the family level includes the divorced family ’s economic status and family turbulence. The purpose of this study 1 was to explore the role of individual and family factors in the adjustment of parental divorce to high school students’ school adjustment.A survey of 3,620 high school students shows that parental divorce will have a negative impact on high school students ’school adjustment.psychological resilience buffers the impact of divorce on high school students’ school adjustment. In addition, students ’age sensitivity to divorce plays a regulatory role in it.The impact of divorce is greatest at the age of 13-18.the impact of divorce is the smallest at the age of 7-12.Study 2 aims to buffer the influence of parental divorce on school adjustment of high school students by enhancing individual-level factors, psychological resilience. The results found that the post-adjustment test scores of the students in the experimental group were significantly higher than those in the control group, indicating that the psychological resilience intervention course can help improve the school adaptability of high school students from divorced families.
