| Background:social anxiety is a kind of anxiety and withdrawal behavior caused by fear of negative evaluation of others in social situations.it is more and more common among college students.Social anxiety affects all aspects of college students’ life.College students with high social anxiety will have a greater negative impact on interpersonal relationships,behavior,education,personal career choices and employment opportunities.At the same time,the college period is the critical period for college students to move from school to society,and the society is made up of people,and college students who move towards society will face all kinds of interpersonal contacts in the future,so college students should not only deal with their study well.and learn to deal with interpersonal relationships in order to be conducive to future development,and harmonious interpersonal relationship is an important factor affecting people’s life satisfaction.It is an important guarantee for the development of college students’ mental health and personality health.At present,mindfulness technology,which is popular in the West,has a good intervention effect on the improvement of patients’ negative emotions in clinic.Mindfulness advocates sensitive awareness of thoughts,emotions and behavior.People are encouraged to observe and accept their inner development from the perspective of a third party,to open their horizons and open their hearts,and to examine anxiety calmly.In order to improve the situation of social anxiety,mindfulness refers to observing physical and mental changes with a non-evaluation and receptive attitude,which has a certain effect on relieving anxiety.Objective:To study the intervention effect of mindfulness-oriented group counseling activities on college students’ social anxiety.Methods:The Interaction Anxiety Scale(IAS)and the Five-factor Mindfulness Scale(FFMQ)were used as survey tools,and the Interaction Anxiety Scale(IAS)was used as a screening tool for college students’ social anxiety,and the norm value(48 points)was compared.Screening was carried out,and 16 social anxiety college students(average age,standard deviation)with a social anxiety scale score higher than 48 points from the norm in a university in Wuhan were included in the study as subjects,and they were randomly assigned to the mindfulness group counseling intervention experimental group and control group.Results:Before the intervention,there was no significant difference in the scores of social anxiety and mindfulness between the experimental group and the control group.After 8 weeks of mindfulness group counseling intervention,the mindfulness score of the experimental group was significantly higher than that of the control group(t=2.90*,d=1.45),and the social anxiety score of the experimental group was significantly lower than that of the control group(t=-2.29*,d=1.14);comparison within the experimental group showed that the mindfulness score after the intervention was also significantly higher than before the intervention(t=-5.53**,d=1.47),and the social anxiety score was also significantly lower than before the intervention(t=4.18**,d=1.25);one-month follow-up test,the experimental group has no significant changes in the post-test and follow-up test results of the Five-factor Mindfulness Scale and the Communication Anxiety Scale,indicating that the group The auxiliary effect remains good.Conclusion:Mindfulness-oriented group counseling not only has a positive immediate intervention effect on college students’ social anxiety,but also has a good tracking effect.It is one of the feasible methods to reduce college students’ social anxiety. |
