After winning the battle against poverty in 2020 and building a well-off society in an all-round way, although absolute poverty has been eliminated, the problem of relative poverty and its intergenerational transmission has become increasingly serious.2021 is the first year of my country’s 14th Five-Year Plan.To further consolidate and expand the achievements of poverty alleviation, continue to promote the development of poverty alleviation areas and the overall revitalization of rural areas,it is urgent to solve the problems of relative poverty and its intergenerational transmission.Education is a fundamental solution to block the intergenerational transmission of relative poverty.Parents are the children’s first teachers.Compared with school education and social education;,family education is particularly important. Therefore, exploring family education to block the intergenerational transmission of relative poverty is of great significance to consolidate the achievements of poverty alleviation and continue to promote the development of poverty alleviation areas and the overall revitalization of rural areas.Based on the above background, this study took the registered poor households in Chenzhou City,Hunan Province as the research object, and divided the research objects into two groups:the experimental group A who got rid of poverty through education and the control group B who did not get rid of poverty through education. The two groups will carry out questionnaire surveys around the four aspects of basic personal and family status, family economic status, family and school education, and social relations, and then conduct a descriptive analysis of the collected questionnaire data. And make a horizontal comparative analysis of these two groups and a longitudinal comparative analysis of the education situation, family education expectations, and family education investment of the three generations of the two groups in the family,in order to analyze the education interruption of the poor households in the rural areas. The obstacles encountered in the intergenerational transmission of relative poverty:low family education expectations, insufficient family education investment, poor connection between home and school education, backward family education concepts, insufficient family education poverty alleviation policies, and lack of family education social support networks. The reason is that relatively poor families have a single source of income and low income, poverty culture has confined the thinking of poor groups, disadvantaged social relations have promoted the intergenerational transmission of relative poverty, and my country’s social security system has not achieved equalization. At the same time, drawing lessons from the educational poverty alleviation policies of the developed countries in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Japan,as well as the new model of educational immigration in Hainan Province and the "study aid project" model of Guizhou Province,we will help the poorer families block the poorer generation through family education International transmission provides corresponding countermeasures and suggestions:raising family education expectations, increasing family education investment, strengthening home-school education linkage, improving family education concepts, improving family education poverty alleviation policies, and strengthening family education social networks.Starting from the six aspects of family education, and then blocking the intergenerational transmission of relative poverty of relatively poor families,it is to focus on building a long-term mechanism for sustainable development,to lay a solid foundation for the comprehensive construction of a modern socialist country and the realization of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. |
