PLC is the core device in the field of electrical automation,so automation technical personnel must learn PLC course,which has strong practicality and high requirements for practical training.However,the traditional practical teaching of PLC Course in secondary vocational school has some problems,such as higher practical teaching cost and poor expansion of training content,etc.To a certain extent,the design and application of PLC full virtual simulation system can not only solve the problems existing in the practical teaching of PLC,but also meet the requirements of the construction of virtual simulation resources in China’s vocational education informatization.The research methods in this paper include literature research,observation,questionnaire,interview and experimental research.These educational theories such as "constructivism","tower of experience","humanism" and "learning by doing" provide the basis for the virtual simulation teaching.This paper proposes to select MCGS configuration software to construct the controlled object,and together with Mitsubishi programming software GX Develop,Mitsubishi programming simulation software GX Simulator,and Mitsubishi OPC service software MX OPC Server,constitute a PLC full virtual simulation system.The effectiveness of the system is verified by three programming cases of PLC teaching,which are "the control of three-phase asynchronous motor star delta step-down start "," the control of road traffic light " and " the control of four floor elevator simulation ",and through the investigation of vocational students and teachers to understand the application of virtual simulation technology for practical teaching.The research shows that it is feasible to apply PLC full virtual simulation system to vocational practical teaching,which can be an effective supplement to traditional PLC practical teaching.However,there are some limitations in the number of case studies,and in the process of experiment.It is found that the PLC full virtual simulation system has some problems such as slow data communication,instruction application limitations,and the lack of virtual simulation teaching resources,which also brings certain impact on the further development of virtual simulation teaching.The research of PLC full virtual simulation is still in its infancy,which needs continuous exploration and discovery.
