Shao Dacheng was one of the early main leaders of the former Central China Normal University,the first principal of the former Huangshi Normal University(now Hubei Normal University),and an educator who grew up in practice.Normal education thoughts is an important part of Shao Dacheng’s education thoughts system.Based on the existing relevant research,this article uses the literature research method,historical research method and comparative research method to trace the source,philosophy basis,content system,practical significance of Shao Dacheng ’s normal education thought and evaluation of Shao Dacheng ’s normal education thoughts and practice In five aspects,it comprehensively sorted out and discussed Shao Dacheng’s normal education thoughts.Shao Dacheng’s normal education thoughts originates from three aspects:First,under the circumstances of a certain era,the baptism of democracy and scientific thoughts,the spread of Marxist ideas,and the announcement of education policies and regulations for normal education have spurred Shao Dacheng’s normal education thoughts;Second,Shao Dacheng successively received the enlightenment education of the traditional private school and the cadre education of the administrative training class in northern Jiangsu,and then entered the special training class of the education research department of the Renmin University of China(later transferred to Beijing Normal University);Third,Shao Dacheng’s teaching experience in Jingjiang Country during the War of Resistance Against Japan,Central China Construction University and Chung Yuan Christian University during the Liberation War,Central China Normal University during the period of socialist construction,Central China Normal University Attached to Work School,andHuangshi Branch of Central China Normal University were An important source of its normal education thoughts.By tracing the formation of Shao Dacheng’s normal education thoughts and analyzing his educational practice activities,I thinks that Shao Dacheng use the dialectical materialism as a worldview and methodology to solve the dual attributes of normal education thoughts and the training objectives of higher normal schools;Based on the orientation of educational practice to discuss the importance of education practice for normal students.Based on the theory of educational value orientation to put forward the mission of higher normal universities to serve the home country and benefit the place.The content system of Shao Dacheng’s normal education thoughts is composed of three aspects.One is the orientation of higher normal universities which content is to strengthen the normality to highlight the characteristics of the school,ensure the academicity to ensure the university level,and highlight the locality to create local colors;The second is the teaching and education ideology of higher normal universities,which focuses on Pay attention to professional thinking and teacher’s moral education,emphasizes the alignment of curriculum teaching with the caliber of middle schools,leaders of higher normal universities personally lead the construction of attached schools,and strive to improve the quality of educational practice;The third is the thought of running schools in newly-established universities includes Hard work,running a school thriftily;value talents,teachers revitalize schools;teaching centers,improve quality.Shao Dacheng’s normal education thoughts has strong practical significance.It inspires higher normal universities to strengthen the normality for developing local characteristics,and highlight local colors when formulating school positioning;It inspires higher normaluniversities to do a good job of combining curriculum construction with specialized courses,stimulating the educational functions of affiliated schools and shaping the Normal spirit of normal students,so as to create qualified teachers;It inspires universities to improve academic productivity by optimizing the academic environment;focusing on cultivating and stimulating teachers ’professional development vitality;giving life care to increase teachers’ sense of identity,and doing a good job in talent introduction.By summarizing Shao Dacheng’s normal education practice and digging up his normal education thoughts,It is found that the practical characteristics of Shao Dacheng’s normal education thoughts are distinctive Marxist characteristics,with the strengthening of teacher construction as the basic task,the strengthening of the nature of the teacher as the practical focus,and the local characteristics as the practical characteristics.Its impact is to promote the normalization of the teaching of the Workers and Peasants Quick Middle School attached to Central China Normal University,accumulate a strong development for the Central China Normal University and develop the education of Hubei Normal University.
