The Impact Of Talent Competitiveness On Regional Economic Growth-comparative Analysis

Nowadays,the national competitive power is increasingly fierce,and the competition for the comprehensive national strength of countries has become increasingly fierce.Talent competitiveness,as an organic and comprehensive force of talent quantity,structure,efficiency,and other factors,has become the key to regional games,and is a powerful hand to effectively promote economic,social,and scientific and technological development and comprehensively enhance regional comprehensive strength.Based on the theories of talent competitiveness,economic growth theory,human capital theory,comprehensive evaluation theory,and econometrics,this paper takes Shandong Province,Guangdong Province,Jiangsu Province,Zhejiang Province,and Henan Province,which are ranked in the top five GDP.The research measures the talent competitiveness of each province.In order to know the situation of talent competitiveness in Shandong Province,and comprehensively consider from the horizontal and vertical perspectives,compare and analyze the impact of talent competitiveness of Shandong Province and other four provinces on economic growth from 1996 to 2017.From the perspective of competitiveness,it provides suggestions for high-quality economic development in Shandong Province.The research contents and conclusions are as follows:Firstly,a comprehensive evaluation of talent competitiveness in the five provinces was made using the entropy weight method with time variables added.The study found that from 1996 to 2017,the talent competitiveness of Shandong Province showed an upward trend,but it was always located in the middle and lower reaches of the five provinces.Specifically,compared with the other four provinces,Shandong Province has obvious advantages in talent environment and is always at a high level,but the level of talent resources,talent input and talent efficiency are lower,lagging behind Guangdong Province and Jiangsu Province to varying degrees.And other provinces,but also ahead of Henan Province.Secondly,the talent environment index,talent input index,talent resource index,and talent effectiveness index are measured based on comprehensive evaluation to express tal-lent competitiveness.Based on the econometric theory,a panel data model of talent competitiveness and economic growth is established.Through comparative analysis of Shandong,The impact of provincial talent competitiveness on economic growth plays a positive role in promoting economic growth,and it continues to increase over time.The input of talent,talent resources,and talent effectiveness are significantly benifit economic of Shandong.Among them,the promotion effect of talent environment and talent input is stronger,and the promotion effect of talent resources and talent efficiency is weak.Thirdly,make Shandong Province as a base group,the dummy variables of provinces are introduced to construct a model of the difference between talent competitiveness and economic growth,and the parameters are estimated.The estimation results show that the talent competitiveness contributes to economic growth in Shandong,as the same way as the other four provinces It shows significant heterogeneity,specifically in the following aspects: first,the strength of Shandong province’s talent input to economic growth is weaker than that of Jiangsu province;second,the effect of Shandong’s talent efficiency on economic growth is similar to that of Guangdong province The ratio still needs to be improved.Third,the talent environment in Shandong Province can effectively make economic better,and the promotion effect is significantly better than that of Henan Province,and there is no significant difference with other provinces.According to the empirical conclusions,the impact of talent competitiveness on economic growth in Shandong province is significantly different from that of other four provinces,which is embodied in the talent environment,talent input and talent efficiency.Therefore,strengthening the construction of talent environment and increasing investment in talent capital are effective ways for Shandong Province to improve the quality of economic growth from the perspective of talent competitiveness.
