| With the rapid development of China’s economy and society, the current situation of high housing prices in cities is the focus of the whole society, and the impact of rising housing prices on the labor flow has become the heated topic of research. This paper draws on the C-P model of rising housing price, sorts out the inherent logic of the relationship between rising housing prices and heterogeneous labor, and analyzes its internal mechanism theoretically. On this basis, from the perspective of heterogeneity of labor force by using panel data of 250 prefecture-level cities from 2007 to 2016,this paper analyzes the impact of rising housing prices on high-skilled and low-skilled labor forces flow. The study finds that the rising housing prices have a positive impact on high-skilled labor, which attracts them inflow to the city for the employment, and have an inhibitory effect on low-skilled labor. The regression results in different regions show that the rising housing prices in the eastern regions have positive effects on high-skilled and low-skilled labor;the rising housing prices in the western and central regions have positive effects on high-skilled labor flows and negative effects on low-skilled labor flows.By urban population classification, the regression results show that the rising housing prices in large, medium and small cities have significantly positive impacts on high-skilled labor, and the significantly negative impact on low-skilled labor. |
