Senior one marks the end of junior high school and the beginning of senior high school.The first grade is the key stage of cultivating students to form excellent moral character and the transition period from childhood to adulthood.The lack of physical and mental development,intense competition and increasing academic pressure will cause high school students to have bad emotions.If the long-term accumulation of bad emotions is not alleviated,serious psychological problems will occur,affecting the healthy growth of students.Therefore,it is very important to pay attention to students’ mental health and analyze the factors of affecting their mental health in order to cultivate students’ good psychological quality and improve the overall national quality.In this paper,the following tools were used: questionnaire survey,the psychological health scale of middle school students prepared by Sudan,the subscale of emotional management factors prepared by Goleman,and the revised academic stress scale of Wang Dong.688 high school students were selected for the research.The conclusions were as follows:(1)the mental health of senior high school students was generally at a medium high level,and there were significant gender differences in the total score of mental health,life happiness,willingness to learn,interpersonal harmony,and examination sedation.Differences in the origin and location of students in the dimensions of willingness to learn and interpersonal harmony were significant.There was no one-child difference in all dimensions of mental health.(2)the emotional management of senior high school students was generally at a moderately high level,and there was a significant gender difference in emotional management.There was no significant difference between the origin of students and the only child in emotional management.(3)the academic pressure of senior high school students was generally at a moderately high level,and there was a significant gender difference in the academic pressure and each dimension,while there was no significant difference in the origin of students and the only child in each dimension.(4)mental health,emotional management and academic pressure of senior high school students were significantly correlated.Academic pressure had a negative predictive effect on mental health,while emotional management had a positive predictive effect on mental health.The influence of academic stress on mental health was partly realized through emotional management.
