TAFE College in Australia has provided a large number of technical talents for the society,and its high-quality technical personnel training has made TAFE College have a high reputation in the world vocational education field.TAFE’s unique teaching system plays an important role in Australian Vocational and technical personnel training.High level application-oriented personnel training is an important development direction of vocational education reform in China.In order to achieve this development goal better and faster,it is necessary to learn from the advanced teaching system of TAFE College in Australia.This paper will sort out the history of TAFE College in Australia,explain its position and role in the field of education in Australia,and based on the perspective of institutions,use teaching structure theory to study the teaching system of TAFE College in Australia,summarize its characteristics and advantages,so as to provide enlightenment for the cultivation of applied talents at the undergraduate level in China.This paper consists of five parts:The first part mainly describes the background,purpose and significance of the topic,summarizes the current research results related to the teaching system of TAFE College,explains the research methods adopted,and finally defines the relevant concepts.The second part systematically combs the history of TAFE College in Australia,and divides the development of TAFE College into three periods according to the representative historical events: germination period(1798-1973),establishment period(1974-1983),development period(1984-1991),reform period(1992-2020).On the basis of stages,the author summarizes the history of TAFE College in combination with the background of the times The characteristics of TAFE College in different stages are summarized.The third part,based on the perspective of colleges and universities,analyzes the teaching system of TAFE College by using the teaching structure theory,andintroduces the specific teaching practice of TAFE College in Australia from the nine indicators contained in the three elements of teaching subject,teaching conditions and teaching process.The fourth part summarizes the characteristics and advantages of TAFE College teaching system through the analysis of the various elements involved.In the fifth part,based on the development goals of the national vocational education reform implementation plan and the characteristics and advantages of TAFE teaching system in Australia,five implications are proposed for the cultivation of application-oriented talents at the undergraduate level in China.The sixth part summarizes the research and considers the feasibility of TAFE teaching system in China.
