Since the reform and opening up more than 40 years ago,China’s economy has developed rapidly and its economic strength has increased rapidly.After a severe global financial crisis in 2008,the Chinese government implemented a series of policies and methods to strengthen macro-control,such as the implementation of the "Made in China 2025" policy.These policies have promoted the optimization and upgrading of China’s economic structure.The foreign trade structure has also undergone far-reaching changes."Made in China" has gradually shifted to "China’s smart manufacturing".The proportion of imported products has gradually shifted from the import of manufactured products to the import of primary products.The increase in wages has caused changes in the wage gap between industries in China,and the trend of wage gaps in China has become more apparent in recent years.A large number of scholars have studied the relationship between a country’s import and export trade and the domestic wage gap,and the research conclusions have formed various theories,such as traditional trade theory,new trade theory,and inter-industry trade theory.At present,more and more scholars have researched the relationship between a country’s import and export trade and the domestic wage gap.This article analyzes the current situation of China’s import trade and wage gap.Through empirical analysis of wage gaps and imports in 19 sub-sectors.It is concluded that the import of primary products is one of the influencing factors that reduce the wage gap between industries in China,and the import of industrial manufactured products,technological progress,and the degree of monopoly in the industry are one of the factors that cause the wage gap between industries to expand.This article takes the impact of import trade on the wage gap between industries in China as the research content.According to the combination of theoretical analysis and empirical analysis.First,this article explains the background,significance,research ideas,and research methods of the research.Secondly,the article discusses the traditional international trade theory,studies the impact of import trade on the wage gap under the traditional trade theory,and then combines the analysis and conclusions of different scholars at home and abroad to lay a theoretical foundation for the following article.Afterwards,the article introduced the current situation of China ’s import trade and the wage gap between industries.The imported goods were classified and discussed according to different international classification methods,and icons,trends,and other forms were used to visually show China’s import trade and industry wage gap.situation.Thirdly,the article analyzes the impact mechanism of import trade on wage gaps in the industry through price,technology and employment factors.Based on the analysis of panel data on the basis of the foregoing,the empirical test of the impact of import trade on the wage gap between Chinese industries.Finally,based on the analysis of the previous chapters,summing up the conclusions of the impact of imported merchandise trade on the wage gap between industries,combined with the regression results of the empirical analysis,put forward personal suggestions to improve the wage gap between industries in China.
