The Effect Of Import Trade On The Human Capital Accumulation

Actively expand imports and Implement the strategy of strengthening the country with talents are important measures to promote the high-quality development of my country’s economy in the new era.From the beginning time of reform and open,China has continued to promote the development of export trade.However,with the intensified pressure of global competition brought about by the technological and industrial revolution in the new stage,and the major changes in my country’s foreign trade structure,China’s competitive advantage in export has been further reduced.How to overcome bottlenecks and achieve high-quality development,has become the key to transformation from a trading nation to a trading nation.Therefore,China seize this opportunity to expand imports.With the expansion of import trade,the level of human capital in my country is also constantly improving.This article mainly consists of five sections.The first part describes the background and significance of the topic selection,and uses the literature research method to summarize the relevant research literature from both China and overseas.The second part summarizes the relevant theories from the theoretical level,and derives the formula for the impact of human capital on exports.The third part is divided into four dimensions,makes a statistical description of the development status of my country’s import trade and human capital accumulation.The fourth part uses the panel data regression analysis method,uses the static panel and dynamic panel model to carry out rich research on the impact of import trade on human capital accumulation.The article mainly draws the following conclusions:(1)China’s import trade and human capital levels have increased significantly,but they all show "east high and west low".Within each province,the imbalance in trade level and human capital stock among cities is prominent.(2)The human capital premium brought by import trade can play a very good price signal role and stimulate the enthusiasm of laborers to accumulate human capital.However,there are differences in the level of human capital in the four major regions,and the impact on the western region is the most significant.(3)As an important channel of global knowledge and technology spillover,FDI has played a significant role in promoting the accumulation of human capital in the eastern and central regions of my country.(4)The dynamic panel estimation results show that the human capital level of each city is not only affected by the control varible but also by the human capital level of the previous period.The promotion of human capital is a dynamic continuous process.
