Research On The Identification Mechanism Of Square Dance Group From The Perspective Of Social Work

With the development and progress of social economy,the main social contradictions in our country have been transformed into the contradictions between the people’s increasing needs for a better life and the unbalanced and inadequate development.While the material standard of living has been improved,people have become more and more pursuing the improvement of spiritual and cultural living standards,especially the middle-aged and elderly groups,because of their increasingly marginal status in the economic society,there is a great need for spiritual and cultural life and broadening interpersonal communication.In the process of accelerating urbanization,due to the completion of the construction of a large number of cultural squares and the spiritual and cultural needs of residents,square dance has gradually entered the public’s perspective as a leisure cultural activity.This article selects the X square dance team in S area as the research object,and uses the research methods of participation observation,in-depth interviews and case studies.Through a true description of the formation process of the square dance group and the interaction of the group members,it attempts to explore the identification status of the square dance group and the identification mechanism of the square dance group.It is found in research that square dance is a cultural activity,and individual members construct their self-identification and group identification during the process of participating in square dance.The creativity of the square dance to the individual members,the interpersonal interaction and discourse space within the square dance team,and the admiration and appreciation from outsiders make the square dance participants rediscover their self-worth and gain a higher level of self-identification;The group identification of the members of the square dance group is mainly expressed by the square dance team members expressing their emotions,expressing themselves and sharing values in the square dance.The construction of group identification comes from the group members’ clearing group identity,internalizing group goals,and enhancing group cohesion,which deepens the individual’s group identification.The formation of the square dance group’s identification mechanism has positive significance for the individual members of the square dance team,the square dance group,social and cultural construction and development,and social governance.
