In recent years, people with mental disabilities have been subjected to many pressures from their families and society due to their own shortcomings and the different perspectives of society.Due to intellectual reasons, others may have a more negative attitude towards them, believing that they can make a living by learning a certain skill rather than blindly receiving help. This situation exacerbates their inferiority complex and exacerbates their sense of identity crisis. However, the reasons for the low level of positive identification among this group are multifaceted, generally due to physical "defects",discrimination from people around them, and insufficient overall social inclusiveness.During my internship,I found that most individuals with mild mental disorders in the H community have identity crises, which are manifested as self-awareness issues, individual perceptions of their membership as a social group, including values and emotional deficiencies associated with membership;Identity issues, where individuals or groups perceive themselves as "disabled" rather than social individuals, and lack a sense of security in their lives, gradually reducing their self-esteem;Behavioral identity issues, poor adaptability to the surrounding environment, coupled with discrimination from some sectors of society, result in a loss of motivation, unwillingness to go out of the house, and unwillingness to actively adapt to society. Therefore, this article attempts to provide group activities for H institutions with mild mental disorders from the four dimensions of social identity theory, and proposes some countermeasures and suggestions for their development based on the activity situation,in order to effectively alleviate the sense of identity crisis among H institutions with mild mental disorders in L city. This article focuses on the identification crisis exhibited by the above mild mental disorders.Based on the internship experience at H institution in L city, and within the framework of social identity theory,it constructs the needs and difficulties of mental disorders in adapting to society.Group work intervention is conducted to address their problems, and data is collected using interview, observation, quasi experimental, and questionnaire surveys.According to the indicator system of social identity theory, self cognition, emotional dependence Design an identification level survey questionnaire from four dimensions:self-esteem motivation and behavioral evaluation; Then ask the service recipients to fill out the questionnaire before and after the event; Finally, based on the relevant data obtained from the questionnaire, quantitative analysis was conducted using SPSS statistical software to obtain validity data.Based on the data,it can be concluded that group work intervention has a significant effect on improving the positive growth identification level of individuals with mild mental disorders. After receiving group activities, individuals with mild mental disorders can have a correct understanding of themselves, improve their self-esteem,and enhance their adaptability to the surrounding environment.Individuals are gradually willing to take the initiative to leave their homes and greet people around them. However, due to factors such as insufficient experience of social workers, scarce service resources, and incomplete research, this study has certain limitations. Finally, this article provides some relevant suggestions on how to improve the positive growth identification level of individuals with mental disabilities: firstly, play the role of a "social work station" to provide conditions for their cognitive transformation;second,Enhance informal and formal emotional support for individuals with mental disabilities;third,Mobilize grassroots groups and enhance the participation initiative of individuals with mental disabilities;fourth,Improve the protection mechanism for special groups and enhance the mobility of individuals with mental disabilities.
