Meta-worry will make people pay attention to more information of worry,and the increased sensitivity to worry will lead to a negative attitude towards a series of events.Anxiety is one of the most common mental states in human beings.Excessive anxiety may also bring us great pain and burden.In some cases,anxiety is a feeling of restlessness,and anxiety is closely related to sleep quality.Therefore,on the basis of exploring the relationship between meta-worry and state-trait anxiety in college students,this study aims to improve the sleep quality of college students through mindfulness meditation training on meta-worry and state-trait anxiety,so as to explore effective intervention programs to improve the sleep quality of college students.This study is divided into two parts.The first part aims to explore the relationship between meta-worry,state-trait anxiety and sleep quality in college students.A questionnaire survey was conducted among 534 college students from eight universities about their meta-worry,state-trait anxiety and sleep quality.The second part aims to improve the sleep quality of college students by reducing their meta-worry and state-trait anxiety after mindfulness meditation training.Through group mindfulness meditation training,14 college students in the experimental group were given eight mindfulness meditation training interventions over a period of two months.Before and after the experiment,scores of meta-worry,state-trait anxiety and sleep quality in the experimental group and the control group were recorded respectively,so as to evaluate the effect of mindfulness meditation training.The results are as follows:The two dimensions of college students’ meta-worry,including reason for worry and tolerance for uncertainty,students have significant differences in gender,and male students are significantly higher than female students;There are significant correlation among the two dimensions of college students’meta-worry,including reason for worry and tolerance for uncertainty,state-trait anxiety,and sleep quality.State-trait anxiety plays a complete mediating role between meta-worry and sleep quality.Group mindfulness meditation training intervention can effectively improve their sleep quality though reducing students’ meta-worry and state-trait anxiety.The above conclusion have verifies that the state-trait anxiety of college students plays a complete mediating role between meta-worry and sleep quality,and enriched the theoretical research in related fields.At the same time,it also explores and verifies that the group mindfulness meditation training intervention can effectively improve their sleep quality though reducing students’ meta-worry and state-trait anxiety.It enriches the practical research on college students’ mental health guidance and provides some reference for college students mental health guidance.
