Primary school is a crucial period of English learning,and its importance is self-evident.As a second language subject,English is relatively unfamiliar and abstract for primary school students.Compared with the abstract and boring texts in the book,the mind map can effectively integrate the text content and knowledge points,and display the image in front of the students,making the English teaching look more intuitive.On the one hand,teachers use the mind map to incorporate learning skills effectively;on the other hand,students not only understand the vocabulary,text content,but also learn more learning skills and improve their learning ability.Based on the research methods of the literature research method and the questionnaire survey method,this paper analyzes and integrates relevant theories and discusses them through the following aspects.Firstly,it expounds the relevant research background,significance,methods and purposes,summarizes the relevant research literatures at home and abroad,analyzes and discusses related concepts and theories in the research,and lays a solid theoretical foundation for the development of specific research.Secondly,using the questionnaire method,the teachers and students are surveyed on the status quo of the mind map in primary school English vocabulary teaching,and the statistical analysis of the survey results,sums up the problems and the causes of these problems.Finally,aiming at the problems and causes of mind map in primary school English vocabulary teaching,with reference to relevant literature and practical experience,the paper proposes the promotion strategy of mind map in primary school English vocabulary teaching.Through the research of this paper,on the one hand,I hope to provide some reliable theoretical references for primary school English vocabulary teaching from the theoretical level.On the other hand,I hope that from the practical level,from the application of mind mapping and the optimization of English vocabulary teaching in primary schools,English teachers can learn some effective methods to promote the improvement of English vocabulary teaching in primary schools.
