Political identity as a stable psychological attribution and emotional tendency is an important spiritual support for national unity and national unity.Since the reform and opening up,China’s international status has been continuously enhanced,and major progress has been made in economy,science and technology.However,at the same time,there are many social problems,especially with the deepening of economic globalization,many western ideologies are flooding into China,which affect people’s ideology and challenge people’s political identity to different degrees.College students are the future of the country and the hope of the nation,and shoulder the historical mission of realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.The political identity of college students is related to whether the party’s long-term ruling youth foundation is stable and whether the cause of socialism with C hinese characteristics has asuccessor.Therefore,the political identity education of college students is the core problem of "cultivating people for whom,who and how" in C hinese colleges and univer sities.However,due to the lack of social experience,college students are often misled by bad information when they are confronted with complex and massive information,and thus they are used by some people with ulterior motives to doubt the mainstream values and political system of our country and weaken their political identity.In view of this,it is particularly important and urgent to carry out political identity education in the new era and promote college students to identify with the socialist system with Chinese characteristics.Minority college students are an important part of college students.The comprehensive quality,especially the political quality,ideological and moral quality of the minority college students plays a very important role in promoting the economic developme nt and social progress of the minority areas and ensuring the stability and orderly development of the social order in the minority areas.The enhancement of their political identity is conducive to further uniting people of all ethnic groups around the CPC Central Committee,enhancing national cohesion,and safeguarding national stability and unity.It is worth noting that,due to customs,language and culture,religious beliefs,the influence of ethnic minority college students compared with the ordinary college students both in common,also has its particularity,so we are in the minority college students political identity education need to be "targeted",on the basis of general education combined with the characteristics of their targeted education.Some Western countries use ethnic and religious issues to restrict and divide China.Therefore,it is imperative to strengthen the correct political view education of minority college students,guard against and resist the reactionary plots of secessionist forces,and build a solid ideological defense line for the reunification of the motherland and national unity.Based on this,this article in nanning part of ethnic minority college students in colleges and universities as the research subject,to political identity education as the research object,the investigation and analysis of the political identity of ethnic minority college students’ education on the basis of the status quo,explore the current problems existing in the education of ethnic minority college students’ political identity,analysis the reasons of the problems,and puts forward some countermeasures for strengthening political identity education for minority students.The main body of this paper is divided into four parts.The first part is to grasp the research status by consulting literature and expound the connotation of political identity,political identity education and political identity of minority college students.The second part is to understand the current status of political identity education of minority college students through questionnaires and interviews.Generally speaking,most ethnic minority college students have good political identity at present.They identify with and affirm the Party’s line,principles and policies,and firmly support the Party’s leadership and the socialist system with Chinese characteristics.However,there are still a few minority college students’ political identity is confused in one way or another,which indicates that the education of political identity needs to be improved.The third part is the analysis of problems existing in the education of ethnic minority college students’ political identity,including the political identity of ethnic minority college students education lack of pertinence,political identification part from the ideological reality of the minority college students’ education,political identification,education means failed to fit minority college students’ cognitive psychology and cognitive style,minority college students’ political education environment is not yet perfect.And from the objective factors and subjective factors two aspects to analyze the causes of its problems.The fourth part puts forward the countermeasures of optimizing political identity education.Firstly,the environment of political identity education should be optimized;secondly,ideological and political work should be improved in colleges and universities;thirdly,political identity education should be promoted based on real life;fourthly,self-education should be guided.
