In the report to the 19 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,General Secretary Xi Jinping pointed out that the whole party should more consciously enhance road self-confidence,theoretical self-confidence,institutional self-confidence,and cultural self-confidence.The firmness of “Four Confidence” is of great significance for further advancing the great cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics,achieving the goal of “Two hundred years” and realizing the Chinese dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.The ideological and political education of college students is a soul-building educating project that aims to cultivate the ideological and moral character of college students,shape the healthy personality of college students and promote the comprehensive development of college students.The integration of “Four Confidence” into the ideological and political education of college students will help colleges and universities broaden their horizons of ideological and political education,will help college students establish correct values,condense their strength,and promote the development of socialism with Chinese characteristics,better promote the development of socialism with Chinese characteristics.However,with the deepening of reform and opening up,China is in a period of social transformation.Under the influence of the interweaving and collision of multicultural thoughts and social realities,college students are easy to shake confidence in “Four Confidence” because of their insufficient discriminating ability.The current “Four Confidence” is not closely integrated with the ideological and political education of college students.There are shallow understanding of the “Four Confidence” by college students,some educators have weak integration into the “Four Confidence”,the limitation of channels for the integration of “Four Confidence” in colleges and universities,the environment in which “Four Confidence” are integrated into college students’ ideological and political education is incomplete.Based on this,integrating the “Four Confidence” into the ideological and political education of college students is not only an objective requirement for leading ideological and political education in colleges,but also an inevitable requirement for innovating ideological and political education in colleges and universities and requirements for strengthening ideological construction.It has important theoretical and practical significance.This article draws on the existing research results,takes Marxism as the guide,and follows the law of ideological and political education of college students.It uses the literature research method to sort out the relevant concepts of “Four Confidence” and the theoretical basis of this study.It elaborates the necessity,principle and content system of “Four Confidence” integrated into college students’ ideological and political education.The survey method is used to deeply analyze the current situation of the integration of “Four Confidence” into the ideological and political education of college students.In-depth investigations are conducted on college students and in-service teachers through the preparation of questionnaires and interview outlines.Investigate the situation of college students’ cognition,identification and practice of “Four Confidence” and the combination of “Four Confidence” and ideological and political education of college students.Combined with the questionnaire and interview results,the problems were found and based on the four aspects of college students’ own factors,educator factors,school factors,and environmental factors,the main reasons for the lack of integration of “Four Confidence” were discussed.Based on the reasons,systematically thinking and in-depth exploration of the integration path,starting from the four levels of individual development,teacher cultivation,school education,and environmental promotion,constructing an integration path system,with a view to achieving precision and comprehensiveness.Through the integration of the “Four Confidence” into the ideological and political education of college students,the college students can strengthen their sense of identity and self-confidence in the path,theory,system and culture of socialism with Chinese characteristics,and then implement the fundamental mission of cultivating morals.
