A Study On Technical And Tactical Characteristics Of Xiangpeng,an Elite Juvenile Table Tennis Athlete In China

In this paper,methods of literature and video observation are used to study the technical and tactical characteristics of Xiangpeng,an excellent youth table tennis player in China.According to the video analysis of Xiangpeng’s 35 different youth open series matches and international competitions from 2018 to 2019.Research objective: this paper explores Xiangpeng’s personal playing methods and technical and tactical characteristics in the starting,receiving and holding segments,summarizes his technical and tactical characteristics,looks for the advantages and disadvantages of his technique and tactics in the competitions with different players,so as to improve his subsequent technical and tactical ability and provide reference for training and competition guidance.In addition,for the youth table tennis players at the same time,the training of skills and tactics and the development of competition ability to provide theoretical guidance.Research significance: the youth team led by Xiangpeng is the key training object,because our challenge is to face not only the Tokyo Olympic Games in 2020,but also the Paris Olympic Games in 2024 and the Los Angeles Olympic Games in 2028,so it is of real research significance and value to better improve the overall echelon construction of reserve talents.Through data research and analysis,the following conclusions are drawn:(1)in terms of Xiangpeng’s overall performance,he does the best in starting segment,and there are clear advantages of his service and attack-after-service technique,which are the key points to get scores.His score and lose points are basically flat in receiving segment,especially the control technology after receiving is not delicate enough.He does the worst performance in the stalemate section with the lowest scoring rate and the highest utilization rate.(2)in the serve break,Xiangpeng’s serve takes up nearly half of the score.There are many ways of serving,such as high throw and hook,and there are many variations in the area of different landing points.On the service point,the opponent’s forehand short ball is given priority to,with the baseline long ball,the service direct scoring ability is more outstanding.After the serve,his attack is positive and the forehand quality is high,which is the main way to get score.The post-serve control performance is general,mainly reflected in the post-serve to the table of poor ball handling.Being attacked after serving is the key to losing his points in the serve.In the game,it is a way to adjust your service mode and service position according to the routine of receiving service of the opponent,so as to reduce the situation of being directly attacked by the opponent after serving.(3)in the receiving and snatching section,Xiangpeng has an obvious advantage in the receiving and snatching attack and the score after receiving the ball because he has a good sense of snatching and attacking,but his scoring ability for oblique lines and straight lines on the snatching and attacking line still needs to be strengthened.In the connection of the second and fourth boards,the scoring is mainly based on continuous attack tactics and control attack tactics,among which the backhand attack is more frequently used,and the diagonal attack line is the most common,but the scoring effect is not as good as the attacking line.(4)in the stalemate stage,Xiangpeng’s fifth board connecting ball has no obvious advantage,and more transitional balls such as light pick and light pull are used.Once there is formation of oppression on the opponent by the backhand,the scoring ability by the fifth board side attack becomes outstanding.In the overall stalemate stage,there are some reasons why Xiangpeng has bad performance in this stage: the frequency of his passive stalemate is more than that of his active stalemate;his change of line is not obvious;his foot pace ability is poor.(5)Xiangpeng’s advantage in the service wheel is obviously greater than that in the receiving wheel.In the receiving wheel,Xiangpeng deals poorly with the short balls in the table.In many cases,due to the second board receive service quality is not high,or the opponent swing back after the fourth board of the anti-control capacity is insufficient,more opportunities are created for opponents to attack.He has poor performance all in the serving wheel,the receiving wheel,and the holding phase.
