With the continuous development of China’s aging population, the number of elderly people is gradually increasing, and the number of disabled elderly people is also increasing. The current situation of disabled elderly care is not optimistic, its needs are huge and not well met.In rural disability in older adults,mild-to-moderate disability, the old man to live alone,or empty nest old man,he(she)People’s Daily life have not been able to get good care, and in economic development is relatively backward rural areas, lack of community organizations, and the family structure miniaturization,mild-to-moderate disability elderly family care function gradually weakened. While home care combines the advantages of family care and institutional care, the elderly with moderate disability in rural areas can live at home or in communities close to their homes, and professional staff can provide them with professional care services.By integrating the power and resources of individuals, families, communities and society, professional caregivers provide the elderly with the care services they need to meet their diverse needs of care. Most elderly people prefer the home-based care mode.By purchasing professional social work services, the government provides social workers with access to the mildly and moderately disabled elderly in rural areas and provides home-based care services for the elderly.Based on the above background, the research question of this paper is put forward: what kind of current situation do the rural elderly with moderate disability face? What kind of care needs are there? What kind of home care services do social workers provide for elderly people with moderate disability in rural areas? What are the results of these services? What are the deficiencies and causes? This study on the basis of the theory of maslow’s demand level and social support, participatory observation, depth interview and a combination of literature research,in zhuhai mild-to-moderate disability, elderly and Z Z village, village home pension services of social work as the main research object, based on the participatory observation of zhuhai Z village work services, select 20 mild-to-moderate disability, old man and the three social work in-depth interviews, through in-depth interviews to understand the rural mild-to-moderate disability old man facing the survival present situation, the status and care care needs, through the analysis of social work intervention in rural mild-to-moderate disability elderly home care content and practice, and to measure the success of social work intervention. Then it analyzes the shortcomings and causes of social workers’ intervention in home care services for elderly people with moderate disability in rural areas, and summarizes relevant Suggestions and countermeasures.Through analysis and summary,it is found that social workers’ intervention in home care for the elderly with moderate disability in rural areas has certain effects, that is,the needs of the elderly have been met to some extent. However, due to the single project fund, insufficient practical experience of social workers, immature social work development, and lack of resources in rural areas,it is difficult to maximize the role of social workers, and the service effect is not obvious.Rural elderly with mild and moderate disability receive limited services, and their care needs cannot be fully met.On the whole, the effect of social worker intervention is not very ideal. On this basis, this study proposed the corresponding social worker intervention countermeasures from the macroscopic, mesoscopic and microscopic levels, which can be used for reference by other service fields, practitioners and researchers,in order to provide better home care services for the elderly with moderate disability in rural areas. |
