The Research On Financial Performance Of The Asset-light Operation Model

Nowadays,with the rapid development and reform of society,the market environment has been changing with each passing day.If an enterprise wants to stay invincible in the fierce market competition for a long time,it must keep innovating and seeking development.For a company,its operation model affects its development to a large extent.Therefore,if an enterprise wants to achieve sustainable development and adapt to the changes in the global economy,it must constantly change and improve its operation model.As a new type of operation model,asset-light operation model has the advantages of "less investment in assets,smaller production scale,reduced asset form,emphasis on the application of knowledge,and significantly improved investment efficiency".Nowadays,asset-light operation model has been used by many internationally renowned enterprises all over the world.Many excellent enterprises such as Nike have completed the transformation of asset-light model,and Facebook has successfully gone public due to the asset-light operation model.In recent years,with the relaxation of China’s education policy and the continuous expansion of the education market,the number of private educational institutions is also increasing.In the private education industry,maple leaf education,with its special asset-light operation model,has become a leader in the private education industry in China.This study analyzes the impact of maple leaf’s asset-light operation model on financial performance,in order to facilitate the theoretical research and practical development of asset-light operation.Based on previous literature and relevant research data and conclusions,this study systematically elaborated the concept of asset-light,the concept of asset-light operation model,and the relevant theories on the impact of asset-light operation model on financial performance.On the basis of relevant theories,this study analyzes the general situation,business and operation situation of maple leaf education,the motivation and implementation strategy of the asset-light modell of maple leaf education.At the same time,this study focuses on the important business data and financial indicators of maple leaf education from 2012 to 2018,and analyzes the financial characteristics,changes in financial performance and possible risks of maple leaf education asset-light operation model.Finally,the study draws a conclusion,and points out the shortcomings of this study.Through the analysis of this study,it is concluded that maple leaf education under the asset-light operation model increases the free cash flow through the continuous optimization of its capital structure,greatly improves the financial situation of the enterprise,and further guarantees the profitability of the enterprise.The application of asset-light operation model can effectively solve the problem of investment fund of maple leaf education,avoid the problem of insufficient investment fund,alleviate the financial pressure,and provide support for the normal operation of maple leaf education.Maple leaf education has changed its previous asset-heavy operation model and expanded its business by relying on asset-light operation model.By virtue of its resource advantage,maple leaf has improved its financial performance and gained the advantage of continuous competition.As the first enterprise in the education industry to implement the asset-light operation model and achieve success,maple leaf education has a great reference for other enterprises in the education industry and promotes the development and transformation of the education industry to the asset-light operation model.
