| With the continuous advancement of the process of national rule of law and the gradual improvement of citizens’ legal literacy,lawyers,as an indispensable part of the process of rule of law,play an increasingly significant role in daily life.Lawyers are not only a bridge between the court and the ordinary people,but also the disseminator and practitioner of law.However,due to the poor traditional image and less modern image building of lawyers,lawyers are still a "familiar and unfamiliar"group for the public,and people’s trust in lawyers still needs to be improved.In this case,using the media to reconstruct their own image and narrow the distance between them and the public has become an urgent requirement for the development of the lawyer industry.Starting from the theoretical perspectives of communication and semiotics,this study makes an in-depth analysis of the self presentation of lawyers’image on the platform of TV legal programs,and explores what kind of image modern lawyers construct and what kind of identity they have for themselves.It also provides modest suggestions for lawyers to construct their own image.This paper will take the "lawyer in place" of the science and education channel of Beijing Radio and television as the research object,and carry out the research from the following three aspects:first,the advantages of lawyers in constructing the image in the TV legal program,why did they choose the program "lawyer in place" as the platform for self presentation?Second,based on the form of this program,aiming at the vivid lawyers in the program,combined with the content of the program,this paper analyzes from three aspects of "media reality","technical expression" and"ideology",and summarizes the personal images presented by modern lawyers:objective "Law Popularization" and legal "commentator",the "voice" in the face of social injustice,and the "helper" of social vulnerable groups.Third,through the self presentation of lawyers in the program,this paper analyzes the reasons affecting the construction of lawyers’ image:whether the positioning of lawyers is clear,the differences of lawyers’ media concepts,the influence of lawyers’ professional nature,the "other presentation" of TV programs,the public’s expectations and requirements for lawyers and so on.In the process of self presentation,the individual’s subjective consciousness is controllable,but the restrictions of objective conditions and the audience’s acceptance are not controlled.Even if "lawyer in place" is the product of lawyers’ "self investment",lawyers have the right to speak.For the consistency of interests,the construction of professional media will show better results,but based on the professional field of TV production,the program group is still dominant,The presentation effect of the image will be different from the lawyer’s personal appeal;Secondly,the public’s expectations and requirements for lawyers should be more stringent and changeable.Some images of lawyers presented in "lawyers in place"may meet the expectations of the audience and affect the impression of some audiences on lawyers through the media,but reshaping the image of the lawyer industry in the eyes of the public still has a long way to go. |
