With the rapid development of economy, the overall work pressure of the society becomes greater.Frequent overtime, day and night reversed, from nine to five workers in all walks of life feel not easy, very tired. This bad work experience gradually evolves into burnout.Township staff because of special work nature, appeared more serious job burnout.Relevant investigation shows that 78.29% of civil servants in towns and townships generally have a sense of job burnout, and 6.4 % of civil servants have a very serious sense of job burnout.Township staff are the first line workers of the government, whose work efficiency and quality are directly related to the public image of the government.Once the job burnout of township staff not only affects their own mental health, but also affects the administrative efficiency and service level of the government, the process of government reform and the improvement of national governance ability. The phenomenon of job burnout of township staff should arouse enough attention from all walks of life. This paper adopts the method of questionnaire survey, interview method and statistical analysis, taking the staff in J town of Jiangxi province as the research object, and conducts a questionnaire survey among 109 staff members.According to the idea of "finding the problem--analyzing the problem--solving the problem",it is found that the staff in J town of Jiangxi province are in the middle degree of job burnout, among which the low sense of achievement is the most serious, followed by emotional exhaustion, and depersonalization is the lowest. There are significant differences in the three demographic variables of job burnout of staff in J town:gender, marriage and education background.Combined with the interview and questionnaire data, the causes of job burnout were deeply explored from three aspects: individual(personal expectation, personal interest, personal ability),organization(heavy work burden, supervision and accountability pressure, salary, etc.),and society(social expectation, social support). Finally, countermeasures and suggestions are put forward to alleviate the job burnout of township staff from three perspectives, namely, individual improvement of working ability and public service motivation, organization optimization of working environment and salary, society setting up reasonable expectations and fault-tolerant mechanism,so as to promote the continuous improvement of governance ability of township government under new situation.
