Nancy Fraser’s View Of Gender Justice

Gender justice is the most important part in the realization of social justice,and it is also an important step for China to practice the socialist core values.Nancy Fraser is the forerunner of new Marxist feminism and the third generation representative of Frankfurt School’s critical theory.It is a key link in the research of contemporary gender justice theory that her puts forward the concept of unitary and three-dimensional gender justice.This theory refutes the gender injustice in economy,politics and culture,and constructs a transnational social justice framework by practicing the rights of recognition,redistribution and participation from the perspective of equal participation.This paper expounds Nancy Fraser’s view of gender justice’s analysis of the performance and causes of gender injustice,her vision of the future,the reconstruction of feminism and the realization of gender equality within the family,and makes a thorough analysis of the value and limitations of her view of gender justice from the perspective of dialectical materialism.This paper can fully and systematically expound Nancy Fraser’s view of gender justice from a macro perspective,and summarize the relevant theoretical views scattered in her published articles into the conceptual measures to promote the realization of gender justice,including the reform of distribution and recognition of reform,the correction of gender injustice,and the mixed way of cross correction and boundary consciousness.At the same time,it creatively combs its ideas to achieve gender equity within the family,analyzes the seven normative principles and universal caregiver model.From the standpoint of Marxist dialectical materialism,although Nancy Fraser’s view of gender justice has some limitations and Utopian color,she falls into eclecticism in research methods and tries to break through the limitations of the traditional principle of national sovereignty in the scope of application.However,the study of Nancy Fraser’s view of gender justice is conducive to the enrichment of China’s gender justice theory,and to the construction of a harmonious society with gender justice in a new era.
