Study On The Role Of Media In The Report Of Bus Public Security Emergencies

In recent years,the frequent bus public safety emergencies have become one of the social problems in the process of building a harmonious society.In 2013 Xiamen bus arson incident,2018 Chongqing Bus falling into the river incident,2020 Guizhou bus falling into the lake incident and many other incidents,we can see that the frequent bus public safety incidents torture the public order and good customs of the society,test the governance level of social public management,but also ignite the attention of the news and public opinion field to such incidents,and build a harmonious society It constructs the memory and cognition of public traffic safety in people’s mind.Using the methods of content analysis,text analysis,quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis,this paper analyzes the data of the three mainstream media,people’s daily,Southern Metropolis Daily and surging news network,from 2011 to 2020 This paper makes a diachronic and systematic study on the news reports of bus emergency public safety events in order to explore the media role and presentation of China’s media in reporting such issues.The study found that the three media have a high degree of attention to bus public safety emergencies,mainly in short and medium length reports,and in communication style.As for the choice of sources,people’s daily mainly uses the official sources,Southern Metropolis Daily has diversified sources and focuses on multi-party sources,while surging news mainly reprints from the official channels.In the construction of news theme,the news theme of people’s daily is more inclined to publicity and education,the news of Southern Metropolis Daily is more focused on the detailed description of the event itself,and the news of surging news network is more focused on the quick and brief description of the event.In terms of reporting position,people’s daily mostly adopts a positive reporting position,while Southern Metropolis Daily and surging news network mainly adopt neutral reporting.Combined with the sociological role theory and realistic news texts,the author finds that in addition to playing a positive role,the three major news media also have a certain role imbalance,which is manifested in the lack of news tracking and reporting,and the lack of public emotional counseling mechanism.Based on this,the author believes that it is necessary to further improve the media role in public security emergencies,so the author puts forward the path to optimize the practice of media role,one is to strengthen the self-discipline of the news media and practitioners,from the ideological level,to carry out their own news work according to the requirements of communication ethics,and from the working mechanism level,to establish and improve the media to the public The report mechanism of the crisis events.The second is the heteronomy between the government and the society.From the perspective of legal protection,we should speed up the news legislation,define the role of the media,and improve the communication and coordination mechanism among the government,the media and the public from the perspective of social interaction mechanism.Combined with the role theory of sociology,this study uses content analysis and text analysis to make a quantitative analysis of various factors in the report of public security emergencies on buses,which helps to comprehensively grasp the role played by China’s mainstream news media in the report of public security emergencies on buses from the perspective of empirical research,and provides reference for other media in reporting such public crisis events It can be used for reference.
