Research On Influencing Factors To The Satisfaction Of Urban Community Home Care For Elderly Of Chongqing City

After many years of exploration,China’s community-based senior care service has made great progress,but there are still problems such as uneven service quality and obvious regional differences,which restrict further development.In order to implement the spirit of the fifth plenary session of the 19 th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China,build a new pattern of elderly care services,and achieve the goals of elderly care services in the outline of the 14 th Five-year plan,it is necessary to continuously enrich the relevant theoretical basis and policy recommendations.Chongqing’s population aging problem is prominent in a national scope.21.87% of the total population are over 60 years old and the elderly dependency ratio is at 25.5%;people over 65 years of age ranks second in the country and first in West China.In order to solve the problem of elderly care,Chongqing recently issued relevant policies to speed up the construction of a number of community elderly home care service centers and service stations to meet the growing needs of community home-based elderly care.How to ensure that these public policies are as effective as expected and achieve good social benefits has become a very urgent and practical need in Chongqing.Measuring the satisfaction of service users is an important way to evaluate the effectiveness of public policies.Based on the theories of community care,Maslow’s hierarchy of needs and customer satisfaction,this paper adopts literature research,questionnaire survey and statistical analysis to investigate the present situation of urban community elderly home care service development in Chongqing.Selected from Yuzhong District,Jiangbei District,Nanan District,Shapingba District,Jiulongpo District,Dadukou District,Yubei District,Banan District and Beibei District with high urbanization level to carry out empirical research.Relevant findings and conclusions have been drawn by reviewing the existing research results and analyzing the survey data.From the perspective of customer satisfaction,this paper classifies the factors influencing the satisfaction of community elderly home care services in Chongqing into four aspects: demand factor,cost factor,convenience factor and communication factor.The empirical study was carried out with relevant data collected from a sample of urban community elderly home care service centers and stations in Chongqing.The regression analysis showed that the demand factor,convenience factor and communication factor had a positive and significant effect on the satisfaction of community elderly home care service;the cost factor had a negative and significant effect on the same concern.Thus,it is concluded that adequately meeting the diversified needs of elderly care,optimizing environmental convenience,reducing the cost of elderly care,and good communication contribute to the satisfaction of community-based elderly care services.Based on the above findings,this paper suggests four countermeasures to improve the satisfaction of community elderly home service in Chongqing: firstly,enriching and innovating service projects to meet diversified needs,creating new demand;secondly,improving elderly care facilities to enhance the convenience of community elderly at home;thirdly,increasing financial support to reduce the economic burden of elderly care;fourthly,improving professional services to strengthen problem solving ability.The state emphasizes that we should adhere to the consumption-led principle to promote the consumption system and mechanism,leaving the choice of consumption to consumers.The innovation of this paper is to introduce the theory of customer satisfaction into the study of the factors influencing the satisfaction of community elderly home care services from the “customer attributes” of the elderly group,hoping to improve the policy effectiveness of public services by enhancing satisfaction,and then to promote the modernization of the government’s social governance capacity.There are two shortcomings: first,due to human and financial constraints,the sample size of the survey is limited and the investigation is not comprehensive enough,so there may be some errors between the research findings and the reality;second,the analysis of elderly satisfaction is too extensive to explore the specific components and interrelationships of satisfaction in more depth.These are the areas that need further discussion and improvement in the future.
