Research On Fire Supervision And Management Of Historical Blocks In Wuxi

Historical culture embodies characteristics of a city.Historical and cultural blocks are the important carrier of urban historical culture,represent the origin of a city,witness the development of them,and reveal the background.With the rapid urban construction and thriving modern buildings,how to protect historical and cultural blocks,inherit the cultural heritage has become an important topic in today’s urban planning.While a predominant influential factor in security is the fire.Wuxi has some well-known historical and cultural blocks,such as Qingmingqiao,Huishan,Rong xiang,Xiaolouxiang,ect.Most of them integrate temple,tower,river,street,house,lane,pavilion,etc as a whole,functioning as tourism,housing,rental,etc.The patterns are complicated,buildings are seriously damaged,the stream of people is large,fire resistance rating is low,the evacuation passageway is too narrow,fire service facilities are deficient.These bring a huge challenge for fire prevention and fire fighting work.By analyzing the data acquired,combined with field investigation,this paper concludes fire risk characteristics,fire causes,difficulties of fire fighting and fire supervision.Based on the research of fire safety management system,management measures,and irrationalities,this paper reaches a conclusion that it is necessary to tailor-make a fire supervision and management system for historical blocks.Meanwhile,from the perspective of related theories,laws and regulations and supervision needs,drawing on the domestic and foreign experience,the paper puts forward compatible strategies of fire safety supervision by strengthening the supervision of the subject and object.This study makes a scientific assessment of the fire safety status of historical and cultural blocks,and highlights the joint action of planning measures,social governance and policy support.These theories and methods are not only applicable to the historical and cultural blocks,but also have the practical significance for the fire safety management of the ancient villages,towns,etc.
