Research On Marx And Engels’ Thought Of Women’s Liberation

The issue of women has a long history.The realization of women’s liberation is not only the focus of women’s group,but also the subject of the times that human society must face.Since ancient times,people have made unremitting efforts to strive for women’s equal rights to men in personality,politics,economy,education and other fields.However,women’s problems still emerge in endlessly,which has become an important bottleneck restricting the survival and development of women in the world.Up to now,women’s groups account for half of the world’s population.As an important part of Marxist theory,Marx Engels’ ideas on women’s emancipation,though not expounded in specialized works,are deeply entrenched in other writings of Marx Engels in various periods.Based on the classical texts of Marx and Engels and guided by dialectical materialism and historical materialism,this thesis is devoted to discussing Marx and Engels’ theoretical views on women’s emancipation on the basis of analysis and reference to existing theoretical achievements.The second chapter organizes a logical line from the germination to the formation to the development of Marx and Engels’ ideas on women’s emancipation based on the women’s positions and views distributed in Marx and Engels’ classical works.Through the description of the real situation of women in the main line,it is clear that private ownership is the root cause of women’s oppression,and the fundamental way of women’s emancipation lies in the participation of social production labor and the realization of socialization of domestic work.The third chapter of this paper presents a comparative analysis of Marx’s and Engels’ ideas on women’s liberation and Western feminism,firstly introducing the development history and specific schools of Western feminism,secondly analyzing the dialectical relationship between criticism and inheritance between the two,and finally pointing out that the realization of gender equality is the common value pursuit of both.The fourth chapter explores the theoretical value and practical significance of Marx’s Engels’ ideas on women’s emancipation in the economic,political and social fields to the development of women in contemporary China and the contemporary world.Marx and Engels devoted their lives to the great cause of human emancipation,and the blueprint of communism they constructed in which every individual can achieve free and comprehensive development,and women as important members of the human gender,women’s emancipation must be paid attention to by all countries and even globally.
