Research On The Group Dynamics Of The Community Elderly Volunteers’ Ability Improvement Group

As the focus of social governance has shifted to the grassroots in recent years,especially the community,the role of community volunteers has become a hot point.Community elderly volunteers are an important part of community volunteers and they are composed of the low-age elderly in the community.A team of volunteers serving community residents.What is the difference in the group dynamics of this semi-open educational group targeting the elderly? What is the development process of such group dynamics? How to effectively improve the abilities of elderly volunteers in the community? This study conducted group dynamic analysis through observation and research of community elderly volunteers’ ability improvement group and put forward relevant suggestions for group work development.This study uses group work as an intervention method,from the perspective of group dynamics theory,and Xu Xisen’s five-variable group dynamics model as the analysis framework to observe and analyze the group development and dynamic changes of the elderly volunteers’ ability improvement group(Z group)in the M community in Nanjing.According to the actual development of the Z team,this research divides the development stage of the team power into the formation stage of the team power,the cohesion and disintegration stage of the team power,and the maintenance stage of the team power.At each stage,the team is described by the communication and participation of members.The current situation of power development,using five variables of member characteristics,group situation,integrated operation process,member change and group development,to analyze group dynamics,and to study the effect of the stage and status of group dynamics on group effectiveness.Finally,through the above research,it is concluded that the method of group intervention is effective;the nature of the group will affect the form of group dynamics;community administrative power and project system framework are important factors that affect group dynamics outside the group.In addition,this study believes that the development of continuity group dynamics will be affected by the decision-making of the future leader of the group;the ability improvement group should pay attention to its own education and social workers should combine the identity,cognitive level and level of the client when launching similar groups.Carry out activities in specific circumstances.
