| The People’s Police is a national security administrative force and criminal justice force with an armed nature.It undertakes the important mission of maintaining the country’s political security and social stability.In the process of realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation,we should attach great importance to the ideological and political education of public security organs to ensure that all police officers are closely united around the Party Central Committee with General Secretary Xi as the core.At present,the discipline of ideological and political education pays more attention to the research and application of ritual theory.Ritual is the carrier of social culture and values.It plays a silent role in shaping people’s ideological beliefs and moral qualities.It also contains a rich ideological and political education value.At the same time,various rituals of the public security organs are in full swing.Public security organs carried out a series of ritual activities with distinctive police cultural characteristics at special time nodes such as the People’s Police Festival,which provided an important focus on further strengthening the ideological and political education of public security organs.This paper aims to explore the ideological and political education function of the People’s Police Ritual,further enhance the appeal of the People’s Police Ritual,and promote the development of ideological and political education in public security organs.This paper studies the connotation of the ritual from the perspective of multiple disciplines,and on this basis,puts forward the connotation of the People’s Police Ritual from the perspectives of cultural characteristics,internal information,organizational planning,and the form of performance.Combining the characteristics of the actual People’s Police Ritual,summarize the special attributes of the People’s Police Ritual,and classify the People’s Police Ritual according to the theme of the ceremony.In the meantime,it explains the internal connection between the People’s Police Ritual and the ideological and political education from the perspectives of content,methods,and context.It discusses the formation process of the ideological and political education functions of the People’s Police Ritual.It also analyzes the performance of the specific ideological and political education functions of the People’s Police Ritual at the organizational and individual levels.This paper combs through the relevant records of the ideological and political education function of the ritual in the historical materials of the people’s police.It examines the history and the current situation of the ideological and political education function of the People’s Police Ritual.Combining with the fact that the people’s police ceremonies play the function of ideological and political education,this paper analyzes the problems that restrict the people’s police ceremonies from exerting their ideological and political education functions,and further discusses the causes of the problems from four aspects: the connotation of the ceremony,the guiding concept,the main body of the ritual,and the management of the ceremony.Aiming at how to give full play to the ideological and political education function of the People’s Police Ritual,this paper proposes that the guiding concept of the ritual should be changed to lay an ideological foundation for the ideological and political functions.It also states that the ritual operations and system should be improved to eliminate the predicament that restricts the ideological and political functions as well as to enrich the ways that the ideological and political functions performed.The ritual management should also be strengthened to enhance the long-term effects of the ideological and political functions. |
