| Prison,as the enforcement agency of penalties in our country,is of great significance to safeguard national public security and social stability.Prisons mainly aim at transforming and educating criminals and strive to transform prisoners into law-abiding citizens in society,thereby reducing illegal and criminal behavior.For a long time and in light of the new situation,relevant state agencies have attached great importance to the transformation of prisoners and put forward a new pattern of “five major transformations”,and are committed to improving prisoners’ quality of educational transformation,so as to better guarantee the social harmony and stability.Taking A Prison in Zhejiang Province as the research object,this paper,studied the problem of prisoners’ educational transformation under the new pattern of "five major transformations".The study has certain significance for improving the system and quality of prisoners’ educational transformation.The paper took the problem of prisoners’ educational transformation under the new pattern of“five major transformations”as the research subject,and used attribution theory,educational punishment theory and new public management theory as the theoretical basis.Through literature research and questionnaire survey method,the paper studied current status of prisoners’ educational transformation in A Prison in Zhejiang Province.Problems were discovered through questionnaire surveys,and the causes of the problems were further explored.This questionnaire survey was divided into two parts,namely,prisoners and prison workers.A total of 200 questionnaires were issued to the prisoners,and 160 questionnaires were finally recovered,of which 137 were valid questionnaires,with a valid rate of 86%.For prison workers,A total of 200 questionnaires were issued,and 197 questionnaires were finally recovered,of which 192 were valid questionnaires,with a valid rate of 97%.Problems found through the survey included weak effectiveness of ideological education,scattered force of educational transformation,imperfect working mechanism of educational transformation in A Prison in Zhejiang Province.It is recommended to innovate the content of educational transformation,strengthen ideological and political education;strengthen the awareness of educational transformation,strengthen the integration of supervision forces and improve the mechanism for educational transformation,etc.,so as to improve the quality of prisoners’ educational transformation under the new pattern of “five major transformations”. |
