Research On The Function Of Ideological And Political Education Of Political Ceremony And Its Realization Path

Political ceremony is a form of political practice which is widely used in ancient and modern times.It is not only the excellent content,but also the excellent carrier of ideological and political education.This paper defines political ceremony as,under a certain ideological background and in a specific time and space,the behavior of creating political identity,carrying out political mobilization,spreading political information and guiding political values through normative,orderly and symbolic activities.Political ceremony is a kind of ceremony.It has the characteristics of symbolism,drama,culture,holiness and time-space.It has four mechanisms of action: power mechanism,education mechanism,information mechanism and practice mechanism.In this paper,the political ceremony is divided into three categories: commemorative political ceremony,ceremonial political ceremony and daily political ceremony.Political ceremony has the social functions of retelling history,stimulating emotion,shaping values,agglomerating groups and building political identity.Political ceremony originated from ancient religious rituals,and developed in the formation of "rule by rites" in feudal times,and continued in the Republic of China period of "party rule" indoctrination.It became highlighted from 1949 to 1978,and its cultural implication has been gradually improved.Now,it has been adjusted and revived with the advance of The Times.Political ceremony is a good carrier to carry out ideological and political education.It has the function of instilling the mainstream ideology,enhancing the confidence of socialist culture,inspiring positive moral emotions,shaping the core values,strengthening the political identity,and integrating the resources of ideological and political education.In recent years,the ideological and political education function of political ceremony has been paid more and more attention by people.Achievements and deficiencies coexist.There are subjective and objective reasons for the deficiencies.The objective reasons are: first,the diversity of values weakens the sanctity of the political ceremony;second,cultural diversity diluted the seriousness of the political ceremony;third,citizens’ indifference to the public sphere reduces the acceptance of political ceremonies.The subjective reasons are:first,the political ceremony overemphasized the practical significance and ignored the national feelings;second,the political ceremony pays too much attention to the authority and ignores the inter-subjectivity;third,the ideological and political education function of political ceremony has not been fully valued and explored.In view of the above reasons,we can optimize the practice path of ideological and political education of political ceremony from three aspects: the first is to optimize the supply path,the second is to dig the supply resources,and the third is to resolve all kinds of contradictions in political ceremony.To optimize the supply path,we can optimize the content,innovate the form and perfect the guarantee.To dig the supply resources,we can draw excellent traditional cultural resources,red revolutionary cultural resources and advanced socialist cultural resources.To resolve the contradictions,we should avoid formalism,negative self-suggestion and conflicts in the political ceremony.
