Research On The Problem Of Home Care For The Empty Nest Elderly In Rural Areas

With China’s reform and opening up into a new period,China’s rural areas are facing profound changes,land and production problems,urbanization process,changes in family structure and so on.This leads to the emergence of a new special group in rural areas-"Empty nesters".Whether in the past traditional handicraft age or now intelligent mechanization age,the way of providing for the aged in China has been changing,but the problem of providing for the aged in rural empty nesters has always existed.Rural empty nesters are faced with the problems of lack of daily care,mental world vacancy,medical and health services.Even in the process of social change,this kind of problem is increasing day by day.At present,the aging trend of our country is gradually aggravating,the function of traditional family pension is weakening,the cost of institutional pension is high and it is not popular in rural areas,so the problem of rural empty nest elderly pension needs to be solved.This paper takes the problem of home-based care for the empty nesters in village B of Lujiang County as the starting point,with the support of domestic and foreign research theories,taking 279 empty nesters in village B as the research object,through field questionnaire survey,this paper expounds the current situation of home-based care for the empty nesters in rural areas,and finds that there are some problems in home-based care for the empty nesters in village B,such as insufficient publicity of home-based care services,lack of publicity of home-based care services,lack of social support,lack of social support Local government’s limited financial capacity,the lack of home-based care team building,the lack of effective regulatory mechanisms and other issues.In this regard,we propose to increase funds to promote the upgrading of home-based care services,policies to guide the development of rural industrial economy,and increase the publicity of home-based care.In the future,no matter how strong the national strength,how strengthened the government’s responsibility and how developed the elderly care services are,we must give full play to the basic role of family care.Family is still the first residence for the elderly,and home-based care is still the first choice for the elderly,especially the life care,family care and spiritual comfort provided by families are irreplaceable,This is also determined by China’s national conditions and cultural foundation.
