| Being the flagship project of Belt and Road initiative,China Pakistan Economic Corridor(CPEC)offers and promises long term stability,peace development and cooperation between China and Pakistan.A neighboring country to Pakistan and China;Afghanistan drives for peace and prosperity in the absence of International security Assistance forces,the war torn country strives for peace,cooperation and venues of development.Mountainous,rocky and landlocked Afghanistan,depends on Pakistan for trade and to greater extant for connectivity for the external world.The China-Pakistan Economic Corridor has the ability,potential and capabilities to fill the vacuum created in the absence the United States led international security assistance forces.If Pakistan performs well with the execution of CPEC,it will have a positive impact on Afghanistan too.The spillover effect of the CPEC would deliver a lasting peace in Afghanistan by regional connectivity,free trade and export of shared knowledge and thereby overcoming the vacuum.At present region is categorized as the region of war and terror;violence and instability;extremism and fundamentalism,it is argued that once development impact of CPEC will be delivering peace in Pakistan it will have same effect in Afghanistan.Accordingly,this research would try to explore option for Afghanistan to replicate ideal pattern of shared prosperity and cooperation between as the two friendlier nations of China and Pakistan are doing it.The study is aimed to try and connect the missing nodes and find out ways to enhance bilateral links between Afghanistan and Pakistan under the incentive offered by the China-Pakistan Encomia Corridor. |
